Took my Lexus in to get alternator replaced got a call said I needed a whole new wiring harness said she had pictures and that it would cost 7000 dollars that’s what my car is worth went to pick it up at the service center they sent me to the oil change office how weird I deserve to talk to somebody in the service department about such a serious problem I will never use lithia again can’t be trusted

I’ve purchased five or more vehicles from this dealership over the last seven years, and I’ve always been 100% satisfied. That’s why, when my husband started looking for a truck, this was our first stop once again. Everyone we worked with was great—the sales team was helpful, we received a fair value for our trade-in, and the finance manager was fantastic. We were able to add an extended warranty, GAP, and lifetime oil changes while still staying within our budget, which was a huge plus for us.
However, this experience feels different. We bought the truck a couple of weeks ago, and I recently took it in to have the wheels balanced because something felt a bit off. I was surprised to learn that the truck originally came with a 5-lug pattern, but currently has a converter to a 6-lug to accommodate the wheels that are on it now. The tire shop refused to even attempt a balance because they didn’t want to be responsible if something went wrong due to the setup.
The salesperson had mentioned that the truck came with these wheels and a “nice spare,” but the spare is a 5-lug, which won’t help us at all if we get a flat. I called the service department on Saturday after checking with a couple of other shops, and the person I spoke with scheduled an appointment for it, but also said he had “never heard of that” and didn’t know what I was talking about.
I’m sure we still would have bought the truck, but I feel like we were misled—or at least that something important was overlooked—regarding the wheels and tires. It doesn’t feel intentional, but it does feel like an oversight on their part, and now it looks like I’ll be the one paying thousands to make sure the truck is safe.
