when was the last time you checked into a place where they genuinely cared about you and took great care of you and delivered on all their promises? Well, McKenzie Orchard’s bed-and-breakfast is just that, we highly recommend it.

This place is amazing! The views are breathtaking, with a short walk to the riverside. A lot of detail and care went into the design of this property and it shows. The breakfast was out-of-this-world good, with much grown or sourced locally. This is clearly a passion project for Tom and his lovely family. I am so grateful I found this place. It's so peaceful and serene. I hope to be back soon!

While we only stayed one night, we were impressed with this B&B for several reasons. The place is quite large, and the rooms are very spacious. Ours included a lovely air jetted tub which we didn't use but were tempted! They have a lounge area on the lower level that included a fridge we could use. There is an elevator, which was great since we were staying on the upper level. The owners, Tom & Karen, were knowledgeable about the area and made a great recommendation for a birthday dinner spot. After we returned from that, they had a fire going (it was chilly out) and invited us to sit with them and enjoy a piece of homemade pecan bar with homemade ice cream. They didn't rush us out the door the next day and were all around great hosts. We would definitely return.

We had a very nice stay at McKenzie Orchards Bed and Breakfast Inn. It was a quiet, peaceful visit. We stayed for 4 nights in the middle of January, during the off season.
The room was large and comfortable. We stayed in the Olallie Creek room, on the lower floor. It had great views of the McKenzie river. I stuck my head in the other two rooms on the lower floor (we were the only guests on 3 of the 4 nights) and the other rooms were very similar, with the bathroom layout and finishes really being the only difference. Our room did have a small deck, but the weather was such that we never took advantage of it.
Tom was a gracious host and he cooked very delicious breakfasts. The breakfast included a baked good of some kind, usually with fruit (I loved the scones), eggs prepared the way you wanted, a breakfast meat and either toast made from homemade bread or hash browns, depending on the day.
The B&B is in the country, in a nice quiet peaceful setting, but still only a 15-20 minute drive into Eugene. Similar to Springfield.
I would definitely recommend McKenzie Orchards Bed and Breakfast Inn.

We stayed 4 nights and had a great experience. Tom is the B&B owner and host and is very hands on to ensure an optimal experience. He helped us plan our daily excursions mapping out trips in the mountains, Bend, the coast and Willamette Valley, he points oit all the best spots to visit. Breakfast is 100% home made and custom timed to your schedule. He also provides fine local wines for your happy hr. With homemade sourdpugh bread. The rooms are super large and there is a separate TV room for streaming, and a friend and microwave for leftovers. We will come back!

McKenzie Orchards B&B is a charming and lovely accommodation nestled along the quiet and beautiful McKenzie River. We stayed for two nights in a large room on the third floor, and it was truly peaceful and serene. The healthy breakfast prepared by the wonderful elderly gentleman, Tom, who has aged gracefully with time, was simple yet delicious, filled with care (with fruits and vegetables grown by himself). I also enjoyed the wisdom and experience shared by Tom as we exchanged stories about our lives. My wife and I spent unforgettable moments by the McKenzie River, gazing at the flowing water and enjoying peaceful, tranquil time together. It was a wonderful trip with my beloved wife. I wish Tom and Karen good health and happiness.

This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I stayed at McKenzie Orchards for the Eugene Marathon weekend. Hotels were outrageously priced and I found this spot during my search. I was a bit timid when I booked it, but was hoping for the best. The property itself is absolutely stunning. It’s right along the McKenzie River and has a quiet, tranquil, peaceful vibe. It was exactly what I wanted the night before running a marathon. Tom and his wife Karen are terrific hosts. Tom even made sure there was coffee and toast out for me at 4am before the race, and when we returned, he cooked my husband and I breakfast with the best banana bread. In a world with social media, it feels like hidden gems like this one don’t exist anymore, but I’m so glad we got to spend a night at Tom and Karen’s place. We will most definitely be back!

First time staying in a BnB, McKenzie Orchards have defiantly set the bar high, most likely unreachable to any BnB host. Ease of reservation, warm reception upon arrival, wine and cheese offered in the evening was suburb. Tom and Karen are a delightful, knowledgeable and caring couple offering the best to their guests. The totally handicap accessibility on all three floors is amazing. Tom prepares and serves a fantastic breakfast which included his home baked breads, scones as well as home canned preserves from the property fruit trees, oh so delicious! Our room was great, very clean, comfortable bed/bedding with inviting decor. The quiet, solitude and peacefulness was a treasured bonus. A short drive from the BnB to the south McKenzie River we found a picnic area cleared and ready for someone to enjoy a riverside lunch, the scenery is so beautiful. This was our first stay and will not be our last!

Fantastic serene oasis away from the city yet still so close and convenient. The room and bath were very clean, spacious and the gas fireplace was a nice touch. Tom’s breakfasts were different and delicious every day. We particularly enjoyed the homegrown pears and apples. A great place to unwind, take walks along the yard and Mackenzie river, fall leaves and convenient to Eugene and 5 freeway too. Can’t recommend enough.

This is a fabulous place to stay if visiting Eugene area. It’s located on a beautiful piece of property right on McKenzie river. The guest rooms and common areas are very nice and well-appointed. Breakfasts were great too.
