Customer care is AWFUL. Can't ever find anyone for help. If you call that you're their for an online order the manager will get snappy/yell at you. Employees actively and noticeably angry when you ask for help or can't find something. The one time I tried to be in and out grabbing an online order one of them yelled at me that I can't do that.

The self checkout is extremely off putting. It is supposed to be MORE convenient and quick for your customers. Self check out does NOT need to be a learning/teaching experience. I was also ignored when the associate had to explain the entire process to the customer behind me while I was waiting for assistance. I'm usually not this bitter, but I felt almost interrogated by the associate when trying to work through the self check out. Anyone, I mean anyone, at this point in society knows what to do and how to do it at self checkout, and I'm dropping a down payment on a crafting project right now (because everything is so expensive in here!) I PROMISE I'm not going to steal the 35 cent bag. Not the best experience.

They always have a good selection of craft related things. I like that I can look up what's in stock in my local store and not only choose from what's available, but also be able to see what isle everything I'm interested in is located, which saves me a lot of time locating everything I need once I get to the store to compare different items. It was also helpful seeing online that there was a sale going on and it told me the differences in the sale online vs in store (50% vs BOGO) which encouraged me to come into the store to take advantage of the sale. Having multiple self checkout registers available speeds up the checkout process a lot and the lady working the registers was very helpful by offering to wrap a fragile glass item I got in some paper to protect it on the way home.

Sunday crafts are great. Good prices, huge selection, and friendly staff.

A really great selection of crafts supplies for a pretty large range of crafts. Seems to be struggling a bit as a business. The prices in store are often really high, but if you check online they have tons of coupons, so a little prep can bring the prices down to reasonable levels or even get a few sweet deals. Craft chains in general seem to be having an identity crisis and this includes Michaels with a huge physical footprint but a weirdly large amount of it dedicated to like artificial flowers. Emails can get spammy if you sign up online but so far its still one of my best choices of a physical store to pick stuff up at.
