Mohawk General Store is a cute little neighborhood market and a great all-purpose general store that serves its community. It is a hub of local activity and information, with a rustic charm featuring wood floors. The building itself is historical, built in 1914, and contains photos and antiques on display from its rich history. It has an assortment of essentials, including canned food, cereal, household supplies, candy, milk, cheese, chips, and lots of energy drink options. It is noted for having some of the best jerky around, with honey and teriyaki as favorites. The stock is up to date and the staff are friendly and very helpful. It is a great place to stop before heading up into the mountains, for a day on the river, a weekend in the woods, or to simply get a few groceries and snacks. While prices might be a bit more than a big chain, supporting this small business is considered totally worth it.
Very pleasant staff. Small store with a great inventory-helps the community by having grocery supplies “just down the street” and helps the planet by allowing folks to not have to drive into town for supplies.
