I had a frustrating experience with this clinic. I’d brought my dog in with a growth on each eye. Dr. Maxwell said “Yeah, we can get those” (somewhat dismissively, I remember thinking at the time). Later, her assistant Elise (who wasn’t in the room) sent me a quote, which said “Lid mass excision x2” so I assumed it was the two that I’d pointed out in the exam. I reminded Elise twice before the surgery that both eyes had a growth that needed removed. When I picked my dog up, I was shocked to discover the one obvious growth remained. The doctor was too busy to talk to me herself, but relayed that she wasn’t concerned about the growth as it was cosmetic. Later, the office manager Gina claimed Dr. Maxwell didn’t remove the growth because it needed consulting with a dermatologist and a biopsy to rule out cancer. Which, if true, should’ve discussed with me before I committed to the surgery. Some positives: The surgery to remove the larger mass was successful. My dog was in good spirits after the surgery and had an easy recovery. Elise was patient and understanding, explaining OVRA’s side of the situation (“miscommunication”) in a calm manner and offering a sympathetic ear while I expressed my frustration. The bottom line is that Dr. Maxwell could’ve saved us having to start all over with another specialist and a second surgery (again putting my dog under anesthesia) merely by communicating clearly in the initial exam (which alone cost $120). I received a partial refund of the surgery based on what OVRA’s records show that I paid, although my credit card statement shows that I’d paid $50 over that amount. So if clear communication and attention to detail are important to you, based on my experience I wouldn’t recommend OVRA.

Although a surgery is never expected or wanted, OVRA provided us with AMAZING care during our puppy’s reconstructive surgery. Dr Csiszer and team were exceptional! Was it expensive? Yes. Was the quality of care my pet and I received worth it? Resounding YES! Thank you for treating us with compassion and empathy, being thorough in all explanations, and for helping our pup have the best chance at a healthy life! You guys are awesome!

Unfortunately one of the only options in the area for more involved procedures, but this place should only be used as a last resort. They are impossible to contact and get information from. They will not believe you or listen to what you have to say preferring instead their own coinvent narrative. Leaving a message with information with anyone who answers the phone is useless as that message will not be read. In ever action they take they make it clear that they do not care about your pet.

We took my beloved dog here for his euthanasia. They were extremely compassionate to us as I bawled my eyes out. He went peacefully and without pain, thanks to Dr. Ceaser.

Dr. Maxwell is phenomenal as was each team member that I interacted with. My Boston is a bit spicy & Dr. Maxwell even took the time to show me how to administer drops with ease. She also provided pictures of what I may see during the healing process (it looks alarming but is normal) to avoid unnecessary panic. I can't fit all the positivity into 1 review! THANK YOU OVRA!

Excellent service. They did a full review before offering any recommendation of exams and treatment. Very through in there treatment and very knowledgeable. Dr. Belle Nibblett had wonderful bedside manners when she explained her thinking and her suggestion for the exams and treatment. They were wonderful and can’t thank them for all there help.

Beautiful facility, 4 or more receptionists and I’ve never seen another animal when I’m there. Love love love dr. Hasbach, the dermatologist, anyone who sits on the floor with my big dog and kisses him is ok with me. Excellent advice and direction with my dogs ear infection. We’ve been here before and always good. Thank you OVRA

This place never sent our dog’s cardiomyopathy results to our vet like they stated they did. Which resulted in us paying more money for an additional regular vet appointment and our dog having to wait MONTHS to be on medication for her heart failure due to the incompetence of this office. Save yourself a trip and go to specialist at OSU.

As in the name you need a referral from a vet to get an appointment. Quality services and quality staff. Very caring and concerned for your pet. When was the last time a veterinarian sat on the floor to examine your pet. Eye to eye. Very caring.

I just wanted to extend a heartfelt thanks from my wife and I. Olive, our dog, recently had a Splenectomy, and the OVRA staff (Cori, Dr. Daly, and Dr. Csiszer) were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process and could tell they genuinely cared. The stitching was beautifully done, and our dog never bothered it, even without her cone. The post-surgery care sheet provided for Olive was among the best I've ever seen. Now, Olive is back to her normal, lively self. Thank you, OVRA team!

These folks really care about your furry family members. We were referred here for surgery for our dog after she had an accident while we were out of town. We got quotes from three places and they were all comparable but went with OVRA because of their specialty staff and great reputation. We are so glad we did.

Expensive but worth every penny! The care, starting with the front desk staff, to the techs and vets were outstanding in our experience. My poor baby ended up losing a leg but she's thriving after the care she received!

I appreciate the compassion that Dr. Nibble had with us and how she explained us everything about the best decision for our dog with lymphoma. However, I feel disappointed, sad, and frustrated because after doing the cremation of my dog, we didn't receive his hair clips even though they told me I would have it with the paw print... The only memory... the only hair that it would remain with me is lost... it is burn... I AM SO SAD... because I really loved my dog... he was my baby. I am not even sure if the ashes that I have are his ashes... it feels terrible, and I don't even know what to feel because of this terrible mistake... ? ? for any future cremation, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ADD EVERYTHING BECAUSE AS an OWNER OF MY DOG, I WON'T HAVE ANYTHING OF HIM NOW..... this is heartbroken ?

I feel okay writing this now that my dog has passed and I'll never have to go here again. Sarah Maxwell was negligent in her care of my dog. My dog was struggling with an eye condition and Maxwell just told me to buy him something off amazon. When I came back for his check in months later I told them that he was still experiencing discomfort and the condition seemed to be worsening. I was told that Maxwell actually wrote him a prescription on our initial visit...she just didn't give it to me or even mention it. Once I got that prescription my dog felt noticeably better but the progression of his condition during that time could not be reversed. If the clinic sees this, please do not respond. I will not forgive you for putting my dog through unnecessary pain during the last months of his life.
