The worst pet store and customer service ever!! Went into the store today, asked where the dog leashes are. The guy was sitting there chatting away with his coworker, said, "yea, I'll be there in a minute. We looked around, waited, guy continued to chat with his coworker, by the way no one was in the store! Guy continued to blatantly ignore us. My husband asked again a few minutes later. The guy said "yeah I'll be over," continued to chat with coworker. We finally found the leashes on our own, no help for this guy. The whole store was picked over. Literally 3 crappy leashes, every item was pretty picked over except for the food. What a joke! I will never set foot in that place again!

I took my dog last week to get groomed he is a healthy 5 year old Siberian husky. When we picked him up the staff was super nice until I noticed he hadn't been trimmed up and as he was walking through the store his hair was flying off him, I obviously did not want to tip especially after I had just paid $93 for what seems like just a bath. he went for a bath and de-shed. Did not look like he was deshedded at all. We left and the next morning my dogs hair on his bottom is falling out he has huge bald patches on his lower back and he is shedding worse than ever. He's been to a groomer before but never this one. I would not recommend anyone take their husky there.

Slightly chaotic with an excitable dog, but worth it (no waiting in the sun in a parking lot, but instead being indoors is very nice)\\n\\nThe vet was nice, they got us in quick with our apt we made a day ahead. Pupper loved on the vet, and barely noticed the shot.

Dropped dog off for grooming and asked Bren that she have absolutely no scent or perfume put on her. Bren said she would tell Lindsey. Picked the dog up and she had been sprayed with perfume. My wife is chemically sensitive and has now had a migraine for 2 days. We had to rebathe the dog when we got home and then wash her dog bed and all the blankets she had laid on while we were at work. That evening we noticed Zoe was not acting right once we got her home and we realized she won't sit on her butt or wag her tail. Something is wrong with her tail. She is obviously in pain. We called the store to politely voice our concerns which was met with no assistance or even a concern for anything we had brought to their attention. We will never return. I wouldn't trust them with my dog ever again. I will be sure to complete every survey and every place I can find to leave a review about this.

Well I call up trying to get my cat in for just for nail clipping they won't even answer their phone so I don't recommend them at all

this is the worst petco i've ever been to. tried to get two (2) goldfish and the first employee told me i need to more research when i've been working for the seattle aquarium for 5 years. i then returned the next day and the employee said no one could help me and i left. i will never come back #mikeyshouldbefired

Petco is always a good place to stop and find gifts or new ideas for pets. Selection is great for dog owners. Also the online site compliments the store.

Don't waste your time. This place is not only understaffed but they waste your time! You can't find any associate to help you other than the register gal. In between trying to help customers she is also fixing up the aisles while the only other lady I saw in there disappears and ignores you. I wanted to set up a simple fish tank. 30 f****** mins trying to find someone to help me. In the end I decided my time would be better spent somewhere else because the lady wasn't helpful at all once she was called out to help me. DO NOT GO HERE! Update: the gal at the cash register was doing the best she could with no help. She needs back up and support.

Petco is fine, but the grooming department sucks! They are disorganized, canceling appointments without telling us. 3 times we have brought our dog in to be groomed and they "don't have him on the books"....wtf! We scheduled today's appointment in February, but apparently they didn't put him on the books...tired of this runaround from the groomers. I hate posting these type of reviews, but, when they cost me money in gas to get here just to screw me, I get upset... I'm not sure why they treat customers like this, but, we just made an appointment with Petsmart and they are happy too see him. Guess this place lost a customer....

Was in the area last night and I stopped in around 5:30 to potentially purchase a beta fish. Was hoping to get some help on aquariums and a heater to get started and nobody acted like they wanted to help me. Finally seen an associate that was maintaining the fish tanks and he wouldn't even leave his station to come help me with my questions. I was yelling at him from aisles away with my questions. I couldn't really get good help, so I just finally left without purchasing anything. Very poor customer service in this store. Much prefer PetSmart. Their customer service is top notch.

Horrible customer service. I went in to pick up a plant for my fish and they gave me a plant that didn't have roots and when I tried to tell them they wouldn't let me return it. They sold me the plant with no water and no roots attached to it. They said that I had to have a receipt and they wanted me to bring back the plant. I couldn't bring back the plant because it was completely dead and it fell apart. Horrible customer service. I wouldn't come here. Not only did they sell me a bad plant the fish tank I bought from here was faulty. It sounded like a coffee filter was brewing the whole time. I had to go to another location to return both no problem. Don't come here.

I am writing this review in hopes that Petco will run their Gateway location in a way where people can safely shop there. I visited the Gateway location with my daughter and grandson. He wanted a fish so we headed to the Aquatic section. I am disabled so I use a cane to help me walk. We were wearing masks and social distancing but it quickly went sour. The staff on July 4th 2020 were not Social Distancing and here comes the reason for this review. The "Aquatics Manger" was walking around without a mask and not Socially Distancing. Not to mention she was cleaning tanks so there was a wet floor and a garden hose covering the crammed fish section. This woman got so close to me while my back was turned, that she grazed my shoulder and said " Sorry." She had no mask on and was not socially distancing at all! My daughter, grandson and myself moved away. From afar I asked the unmasked " Aquatics Manager" if we could get someone to help us get some fish? This woman said it was her department so she could help us. I said I needed an employee wearing a mask to help us. This Pet Co employee told us she was "Medically Exempt" so she did not need to wear a mask. I replied that I am a " compromised" individual who is 8 days out til I have surgery. I can not, nor anyone else be exposed to someone not wearing a mask! The Pet Co employee became instantly irritated with me and grabbed her phone and said "Sure I will get you someone but they won't be aquatic." Eye roll and disrespect is what I received from her. All the while the floor is wet and a hose is a huge trip, slip hazard zone especially for disabled people such as myself. I went to ask for the Manager but nobody came and no one said anything. My family and I will not return to Pet Co ever again. If that employee can't wear a mask then please lay her off. Pet Co at the Springfield location is compromising the health and safety of the general public. 1. Wet Floor 2. Long hose on the floor that did not have a wet floor caution sign. 3. An Employee not wearing a mask. 4. Employees not Social Distancing. The attitude, lack of a Manager to appear when called for and no employees who said " sorry for the wait" " The Manager will be just a moment." I wear a mask, social distance and stay home as much as I can. My grandson had two fish die so we wanted to make him happy but we ended up being treated badly and COVID is no joke. I am 8 days away from surgery and that Pet Co worker could have exposed me amongst others to something that could cause my surgery to be put on hold or make the general public sick or just classic slip and fall case due to the water on the floor and the at least 8 ft hose strung all over the floor and wrapped around shelves.PetCo.......Why? To Jennifer an employee of PetCo, I am glad you saw my review but the response seems very generic almost like a computer responded. Having that employee working on the floor in your store is dangerous to the general public. The lack of social distancing is a danger to the general public. Not to mention the way the said employee's attitude towards us is highly unprofessional. COVID is serious and your company, by my recent visit, shows me that PetCo is not taking proper precautions at the Gateway location. For the reasons I mentioned my family and I shall not return. I have shared my story with many friends and they don't feel safe to shop there either. The health of patrons should be respect instead of being disrespected. Your employee without the mask jeopardized patrons by 1. No mask 2. Having a wet floor with no " Wet Floor" signs 3. Letting a hose lay on the stores floor which was extremely hard for me to get around because I have a disability. The hose was wrapped around a display and laid on the floor with multiple tripping hazards. 4. I asked to speak with the manager and no one came or updated me if the manager was coming in a minute or two. I was ignored. So here comes the major problems.......COVID precaution
