The Customer Service Manager is a Joke! Had No Clue how to return a Western Union Money Order that did not reach its destination. You would think if they sell Western Union Money Ordets they Would Know the PROCESS of Stopping Payment And Refunding a Western Union Money Order! Too Bad There Isn't a Cure For Stupid! Will Never buy From Safeway @ Pioneer Parkway Springfield, Or. Ever Again And i Recommend other people don't either! Had to Chose one Star Rating because there is none lower. Pathetic

Fourth place I stopped at to get a cake for a birthday. I got here late and there were no cakes out and no one in the bakery. As I was leaving just asked to see if someone would be willing to help me. The cashier and a manager jumped in, went back and saved me another trip! Grateful for the help!

To update, the situation got worse. I didn't hear anything for several hours so I had to call back. When I asked to speak with the manager about my order, the young kid on the phone says "That lady is on the phone and I think she wants to know about her refund." The manager refused to get on the phone and told the employee to tell me she'd get to my refund by end of business day that she would refund for all the produce and the missing meat they found. She did not process my refund. I had to contact Safeway customer service and then had to wait an entire week to get it. $71!

Ordered 2 cakes for 90th birthday and they were amazingly good! And on top of being tasty they were beautifully decorated. Staff were so helpful and nice.

I used a third party to place a prescription order online due to an URGENT infection. I was unable to stay away from the bathroom for more than a few minutes at a time and the pharmacy did absolutely nothing to help me figure out any details with my prescription. I had to call and go through their automated bs 7 times and still never reached a real person or got ANY form of help. All I needed to know was an ESTIMATE on what time to pick up my prescription so that I could do so without having to deal with urgent bathroom issues if I needed to wait. Needless to say I will never get a prescription filled at this location again.

Signed up for my Moderna vaccine booster back in early December for today (1/29). Got promptly told by the pharmacy techs when I arrived early for my appointment that they don't do Moderna anymore, and haven't had it in weeks. This was followed by a shrug and a "good luck".Ginormous waste of my time. There's a reason I don't shop here anymore.

If you use their delivery or pickup service, expect to have all kinds of substitutions for things you didn't order.Ordered sharp cheddar? You might get medium or mild.Ordered frozen blackberries? You might get mixed berries.Ordered blue Gatorade? You might get orange or yellow.Ordered fish sticks? You might get fish fillets.Oh, what's that now? You ordered sharp cheddar because you don't like mild? Your kids don't eat fish fillets, only fish sticks? Didn't want any raspberries or strawberries in the blackberry cobbler you were going to make? Too bad.It's one thing to have a 2lb. block of sharp cheddar subbed out for two 1lb. blocks, or an 8-pack of blue Gatorade subbed out for a couple 32oz. bottles... but at Safeway, if they don't have what you ordered, they'll just sell you a completely different product that you didn't actually want.You can give instructions for what to do when an item is out of stock. "Don't substitute for an entirely different product" isn't one of those options. According to their VIP Customer Service, the only way to prevent this happening is to go through each item in your order, line-by-line, and imagine what kinds of substitutions they might make... and then leave instructions for what substitutions you're okay with, and what you're not.By the time you're done dealing with it, it would have been less hassle to just grab a mask, get in your car, and go push a cart around their store.And if you're going to do that, you'd be MUCH better off not doing that at all, and going to WinCo instead.

Horrible grocery pick up and customer service! Ordered groceries online, picked up when notified the order was complete. Got home to find a significant part of the order was missing though I'd been charged for it. When I called, their response was, "there's nothing we can do. You'll just have to come back to get it if you want it". Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened. The last, however.

Three different occasions, three different items - threw all three away. Cooked shrimp directly from the butcher, obviously thawed and refrozen. Another time, fresh fruit cut up and in a bowl. Fruit was tasteless or had gone bad. Third item was barbecue ribs from the deli. The meat was dried out and hard. Must have sat under a heat lamp for a very long time! All from different departments and all showed no quality control.
