This pharmacy seems to be improving overall. I have certain prescriptions that I prefer to pick up from this pharmacy due to their availability. The staff is generally friendly, and they are willing to answer any questions I have. I do wish that they would open both registers when the line gets long.

Stayton Safeway advertises great deals but by the second day run out of the item. This week it was prime rib roast for 4.99 lb. I asked if the were going to get more in since it was Fri morning and the sale ran through Tuesday. Response was "no, we ran out of our allotment, the first day". I can do better at other stores, which may mean not shopping locally.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Understaffed and unreliable resources and technology. We will be moving our prescriptions to a different pharmacy as soon as possible.

This pharmacy is TERRIBLE! Every time coming here is actually stressful because I know something will be messed up. Today for instance, my wife's RX was submitted yesterday morning with a STAT placed on it by the local hospital. She was released from the hospital from a surgery 3 hours ago. I sit in the parking lot waiting for them to start dispensing. It's always something. The other local pharmacy isn't much if any better. So if you're in Stayton, Oregon? Plan a trip to salem to maybe find a reputable pharmacy. Safeway pharmacy is RIDICULOUS!

This store needs a serious revamp. Staff are rude, store smells of old grease, sale items are always out and meat counter closes before the working customer can get there. Once I needed a rain check and was told that I would need to wait for the manager to come back from break. On,y the manager could write them. I do not buy into the excuse of “short on staff”. Especially for out of stock sale items that are delivered by local vendors. Schweppes as an example. Funny how Silverton Safeway and South Salem have NONE of the issues.
We need a Ralph’s or Monmouth sized Winco!

If I could rate them at 0, I would. Terrible experience here. No one answers the phone so I had a mess of trying trying to get a prescription filled and had to drive all over to end up going somewhere else to have it filled.

Poor customer service never pick up the phone say they are busy but no one is there in line and the phones aren't even ringing they are just far and lazy and don't want to work

I already knew that it takes 45 minutes to fill a simple prescription, so I was not worried about that when I came to pick up my prescription today. I gave them my phone number, so they could notify me when it was ready to pick up, but after 50 minutes I decided to just go back to the counter to see if it was ready. She said there was a processing error due to an insurance card they had on file, no problem, I gave them my insurance card and they updated it. Then, she said that they still had to fill it and I would have to wait another 45 minutes. What I don't understand about that is if there was an error that stopped them from filling it why didn't they call me to let me know, rather than having to walk up to the counter myself after almost an hour passed. So I've waited another hour, and still haven't gotten a notification, so I decide to head back to see if it's done yet. She recognized me after the first 2 times, and she asks the pharmacist to fill my prescription, says to wait in the waiting room for ten minutes and it will be ready. I tried calling before I came back, but they didn't answer the phone and their automatic message system is a bit annoying, besides they took my prescription the first time so I didn't have the number for it to tell their message system. Finally I have my prescription after waiting about 15 minutes in the waiting room. The lady behind us was yelling at the pharmacist because apparently she has been having a similar issue, and she was very angry.

Worst service, horrible employees, rude condescending behavior from staff. Prescriptions are never ready. I've had them enter my prescription under someone else's name. I've had to be refunded because staff couldn't find the DEA number on my prescription! My doctor was shocked and had to call and make them refund me and tell them its right infront of them on the paper. Please report these people or switch. I had to switch pharmacys. I've almost missed my medication dosages multiple times from them not filling prescriptions on time even though I called a week in advance. They argue with customers and care zero about service or the company. I guarantee this pharmacy will go out of business if they don't change. I've had far better service and care from fast food! Get the names and report. It never used to be like this. Since covid this pharmacy is worse than in 3rd world countries.

If I could give zero stars I would. They absolutely REFUSE to answer the phone (even when there are 5 people behind the counter) They NEVER fill prescriptions on time, you have to physically show up and ask if your prescriptions are ready before they even start to work on them. They continuously say they will “have them done in 1-2 hours” and then don’t fill them for several days.

The worst experience I have ever had at any pharmacy- scratch that- any PLACE of business EVER, I have NEVER seen such UNPROFESSIONAL staff and practices, they DONT ever literally EVER answer their phones! I've had 5 different phones calling them at the same time and none of calls made it through( even being dialed over and over one then the next & the next redialed, as soon as the one before stopped and said " I'm sorry the overnight mailbox you've reached is full" I've tried dialing over & over for an hour at a time at ALL times of day, also they lied saying they hadn't heard back from the dr. Then when I checked with Dr. they said they received no request from safeway pharmacy AT ALL! They have the worst customer service on earth, understaffed is no excuse for the extent of poor service received at this pharmacy that I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy ( if I had one) steer clear as they will waste your time like no other, I will be filing a formal Complaint with District Manager & The Better Business Bureau, I only wish that I could charge them for the many hours of my time they have wasted as well as the pain and stress they directly caused me, if I could have gave less than one star I would have done so!

This pharmacy is hell on earth. They have zero issue with making a pregnant woman breakdown crying in public and still just act like nothing is their fault nor their problem. They just don't answer their phone anymore and don't tell anyone so I wasted my whole morning trying to call them over and over. I don't live nearby so it's a big deal and they don't give a single care in the world how this affects other people's lives. They have the worst attitudes here. I literally have PTSD whenever I go to pharmacies because of this place and the people who work here. I really have no choice but to start using Amazon Pharmacy and I highly suggest others do the same, spare yourself and stop letting these people treat others the way they do.
