This facility has been run by different people since it was built. But the current management has made great efforts to correct any deficiencies they inherited. Great nutrition, attentive caregivers and any problems promptly corrected. Great staff and a huge commitment to the safety of the residents. This has kept Elliott Residence free of covid-19! Way to go!

The staff are kind and caring. However the care for my fathers incontinence was horrible this last month. His room reeked from the moment he moved there of urine. Not always their fault. He was using the room as a toilet and confused. However there must have been a turnover of staffing because bedding was not being washed. He was not being bathed because he refused. (dementia he always says no to everything) So I would say many things were intolerable, but when brought to management attention it was dealt with immediately. Then it we came in and it was spottless . Then the next week we had to move him because of a fall and the room reeked of urine again. Soiled sheets and blankets. It's hard when you don't have enough staff staying or dedicated. They have many excellent people who really care. The food is great. Management cares. It's just very hard to keep personal care staff, and housekeepers doing all the cleaning necessary, plus my father was hard to pin down for changing and clean up. I would say excellent on care level poor on care staff. with the exception of med aids.

Current management is changing - maybe things will improve but I'm not holding my breath.
