It is clean, very comfortable, and has a great energy, even noted as haunted. The owners are awesome, friendly, kind, gracious, and accommodating, making guests feel welcome. They serve an excellent and delicious breakfast, including huckleberry pancakes. Noteworthy details include displayed surgical tools from the doctor who worked in the building in the early 1900s, adding to the historical accuracy. The B&B offers board games for entertainment. It is not far from downtown Sumpter. Nearby activities include the Sumpter Dredge, Cracker Creek Mining Museum, the Sumpter Valley Railway, motorcycle trails, a nearby creek, and the John Day Fossil beds. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were clean, the entire house was so comfortable and charming. The hosts were very kind and gracious during our stay.

My stay at Sumpter B&B was absolutely wonderful. The place is rustic and adorable. It’s clean and very comfortable. The hosts are a lovely couple who make you feel welcome and will cook you up a delicious breakfast. 10/10 I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
