The Second Tern Thrift Store is a beloved treasure trove in Central Oregon, drawing in regulars from as far as Bend who rarely leave empty-handed. The store boasts an impressive selection of clothing, furniture, and miscellaneous items, catering to a wide range of sizes and tastes. The staff, composed entirely of volunteers, are described as "the coolest people" by loyal customers, though some may come across as a bit cranky at times. The store's layout is likened to a department store, allowing shoppers to easily navigate the diverse offerings. Prices are generally considered reasonable, with customers finding hidden gems like a beautiful crystal vase from Ireland for just $8 or a brand-new Eddie Bauer coat for $15. The proceeds from the store go towards supporting the Sunriver Nature Center, adding to the store's appeal. While some customers feel the clothing prices may be a bit high, the overall consensus is that the Second Tern Thrift Store is an exceptional place to find unique and affordable items, making it a must-visit destination for thrift enthusiasts in the region.
The BEST thrift store in Central Oregon! We are regulars that make the trip out from bend every other week and it feels like we never leave empty handed. I love how inclusive their sizes of clothing are Im an xxl and still find great pieces. The staff are the coolest people and we love seeing and chatting with them!

Love the store and the prices are good. They have lots of furniture, clothes, and miscellaneous items. The people who work there are volunteers, which is so great, but some of them are so cranky! I would volunteer there myself if it weren't for that. Procewds go to support the Sunriver Nature Center.

I visited here like a week ago and it's interesting to see items I haven't seen in years. Affordable prices is what brought me here. The only suggestion I'll make is for the kitchen knives to be stored in a safer place like in a glass container, not exposed. It's for safety purposes.
