Overpriced. And man what a dump.
Also, Eduardo may be the single worst customer service representative that I’ve ever met. The guy seems to be going out of his way to chase away customers.
Avoid at all costs.

A little bit of everything in a sporting goods store.
Do not buy Golden Bear tents. I came back to Deschutes campground and it had rained and my brand new tent leaked all around. Lots of water inside. Sleeping bags wet . Frustrating.
Looked online and apparently this brand has low ratings about this. Otherwise, a 4 person tent is maybe a 2 person tent if you want to put a few things in.

I bought a pitch return for my daughter, and it broke within 10 minutes of setting up. The manager and employees were super helpful in returning the item and were all around great.

The end of this review is the best part, so make sure to read to the end! So, I knew Big 5 carried 1lb propane containers, like Fred Meyer, and I decided to shop here to acquire the 2 containers I needed. As I have experienced before at other Big 5 locations, a staff member greeted me. She did not immediately bombard me with "Can I help you find something?" which is what I expected, again due to previous experience, but rather said "Welcome!" I said "Thank you!" then after a brief pause, since I new what I needed, I asked her where the location of the 1lb propane containers was. She immediately knew where they were and accurately informed me! I spent less than 2 minutes getting the items and headed to the checkout where the staff member originally greeted me. She pleasantly asked about my day with a really nice smile, as she scanned the propane containers, which were a slightly higher price than Fred Meyer. I spent a few moments explaining my experience at Fred Meyers just moments before, including the appreciation of Big 5 and accessibility to products, as usual stores have, as it demonstrated Big 5 actually caring about the customers time and not wanting to unnecessarily waste it. Mine of which is quite valuable. At first my intensity was a little hard for her to digest but as our conversation ended she showed me with her bright smile and gracious attitude combined with effective listening techniques applied, how through actions, an understanding of the importance of "doing the right thing" in regards to how a business should approach "every potential customer" results in the business getting my money. A win-win situation for us both! Fred Meyer in The Dalles? That's another review which is next on my list. So look for that review to follow, so you can again get a sense of accuracy! Next time I am in town and need propane, I will spend the extra few cents just to experience a business who at least does make effort to still provide a decent experience to the customer.

I wouldn't buy fishing poles here..I bought 3 and they all snapped in the same place and THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU! YOU HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP IT TO THE ACTUAL COMPANY WHO MADE THE POLE AND THAT IS SUCH A HASSLE!
