I’m very disappointed in American Eagle. I RARELY buy clothes for myself, and especially over priced jeans. But I needed more and I thought why not treat myself. I tried some jeans on and one particular pair fit me so well but they were too long. So I needed to buy the “SHORT” fit. But they only sell that fit online. Which that itself is ridiculous and so frustrating. These days it’s so hard to find pants that aren’t way too long and shaped for petite sizes. The fact that I have to order them is so annoying. And typically, I just skip ordering online to avoid the hassle. But this time I decided to order them online IN STORE. I bought a few other jeans that fit me as well. When I was checking out, I explained to the girl that i wanted to order this pair of jeans, but in SHORT fit and delivered to my house. she said okay and proceeded with my purchase. But i literally had to ask her if she needed my address??she never even asked me. and then she was like “oh yea okay.” and then i gave it to her. and even confirmed it. I gave her my rewards account, etc. After my purchase she said that pair of pants should arrive at my house in 5-7 days. 9 days go by and i still don’t have my pants. So i call the store. they look me up. and turns out SHE NEVER ORDERED THEM. and at this point, my receipt is gone. So they send me to this customer service line. then they said they can’t do anything about it but make an incident report. I then call the store the next day, and they said i should be able to get my pants if they “return” the amount i paid and then i just order them again. So i went to the Clackamas Location, because it’s closer to me and I explained my situation and the worker looks me up and turns out the pants that i ordered are just “out of stock”. so she returned the money to my card. this whole experience was so frustrating. I am super upset how my situation was handled. Each of the people that I spoke to, especially in person, were rude, didn’t care about my experience and just needed to move onto the next customer. I wish that I was taken care of much better. and honestly I really wanted those jeans. Out of my whole order those were the ones I really wanted. I mean at least I got my money back. But now I don’t think I’m ever gonna spend another dime at American Eagle.

Just had the best experience ever, Avery was so kind and helped me finding the perfect jeans, I never had any experience like that while shopping, she is so sweet and so helpful! ❤️

Service was great, as was selection. Aerie next door provided additional type of clothes which really expanded our choices. I only wish they had long option for pants.

good place for shopping aerie! The stock is abundant and they have plenty of fitting rooms (you can use those from American Eagle next door. The staff are very friendly and patient!

I absolutely adore American eagle. I love their next level stretch denim jeans you can literally wear a size smaller so for that alone A+, however, the phone I have the pic with them is they're always out of certain merchandise. Their variety is great. They just can't keep enough of it in. Personally, I recommend they have more fitted tops in instead of these loose boxy I'm 15 sort of thing. There's already plenty enough stuff for the youngsters but their products are expensive but the good thing about these guys is they always have some sort of coupon or bonus points that you can get make it worth your while and not break the bank I HIGHLY RECOMMEND just get more product next level stretch and have it available. Don't be low on merchandise not a good luck.

This review is mostly a shout out for Liv (5 stars!!!) who was super knowledgable, helpful and patient in helping me find jeans! She spent a good amount of time getting to know what I wanted and gave helpful suggestions. I hope she's recognized for the work she puts in!But while I'm here, I'd give the customer service from the rest of the store a 2, and the clothes they carry aren't as cute/of similar quality as they used to be. The other reviews are pretty accurate with how no one acknowledges you at all in the ae or aerie side, and anything you ask for (dressing room, asking a question, checking out, making a return) seems like it is a big inconvenience to them especially if they are in the middle of a non-work related conversation. Or even if they're standing there idly, they act all annoyed like you're a nuisance for asking to check out. I've been in both stores a few times recently and had the same experience each time, minus the positive interaction with Liv. Also I feel like it's a nice gesture for someone to notice if you're carrying a lot of things and ask to start a fitting room for you. I don't usually expect this service, but I was carrying maybe 10 pairs of jeans while browsing and it was getting pretty heavy and quite a few associates looked at me, looked at all the things I was carrying kinda funny, then looked away.

Johnathan was such a great help, he went and found some jean sizes in the back for me because I could not find any on the floor. Such friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Walked in on the aerie side and wasn't greeted. Walked to the ae side front then all the way to the back and then to the front (looking at stuff to buy) and still wasn't spoken to. I was like 1 of maybe 3 people shopping. There were 2 associates on the aerie side and 3 or so on the ae side. The ae side were talking about how one was taking a manager position at another location etc. With the lack of customer interaction, I'm not sure it's smart to move that person up. Not my best experience in there but seems to be the new norm the last few times I've gone in. Also the clothes aren't as cute anymore. Or my store just doesn't have a good variety. Not sure which.
