Nice club. Nice locker rooms. Child care did not work for me and my 14 month old. If your kid falls asleep and you can't make it you can call an hour ahead and have to talk to childcare direct and they will wave the fee. I didn't know that and I never did get the charge removed. I think it's difficult when you have someone this young to plan childcare. So, the whole extra step of having to call, get through to someone and cancel is difficult. Also, the childcare hours are 8:30-1 and 4-7:30 M-F. And 8:30-1 Sat/Sun. No towels in family locker rooms so you have to with a little one in tow first go to the pool to get a towel. Basketball courts are amazing. Will maybe check out again when my kid is no longer in need of child care.

Some lady at the front kicked me out for using my own family members account to check in, then proceeded to not allow me to use a guest pass from my sister standing right there... Woke up at 5:00 to not even get in. I am also in the system with the fact i've had an account before, crazy.

We have been members at this club for several years and since the Bay Club has taken over the only thing that has changed is the price. As a family with young children, the value of the family membership was good prior to Covid when we could drop our kids off for 2 hours and work out. The price was not cheap, I think we paid around $200/month in before Covid. The BayClub took over and slowly started raising prices, but then prices went up substantially to the point we recently looked at our bill and were shocked. These are the rates we paid: 2021: $245/month 2022: $275/month 2023: $355/month 2024: $415/month So in 3 years a 70% increase!!! The amenities have not changed. The access to childcare has decreased, the service is basic, the locker rooms are outdated. There are extra charges for certain classes, camps, etc. Help me understand how you can justify these price increases.

I'm back. We didn't cancel membership yet. Why not? Good question. It's one of the best around here. Unfortunately they just keep ramping up rates and, for me, there just isn't the value. They raised rates 7 months ago by $30 and they just hit us with another $30 rate increase. Effectively a 49 percent increase in 4 increases I. 26 months cumulatively. Why? The answer was they put in AED's and replaced some aging equipment. Maybe when Lake Oswego opens their facility we will make the move. Really, why pay taxes and private club dues too? At least that's what I'm thinking and Bay Club should be thinking that too and maybe you should too.

Used to be an excellent micro-version of better Bay Clubs in California, now this place is pretty bad and their business practices are even worse. During the pandemic, this gym offered to put peoples accounts on hold or if people were feeling generous, they could pay half of their club dues while the club was not being used. Many of us chose to pay that half because we liked the club. On returning to the club they've gotten rid of any discounts, increase the prices several times, and this January decided to make a 20% unannounced across-the-board membership fee increase. No warning, not even an email. See Jon Small's review for a coat increase breakdown. Now for a family of four it's around $450 for a club with no tennis courts, with a kids club that has half the hours it used to (so one of its main selling points that it has free babysitting for a couple of hours really isn't that useful after all), the classes have gone down in quality, the personal training rates are high, and the gift shop has moved on from selling normal brands like Nike/Adidas to selling brands that are triple the cost and half the quality. On top of that, you still have to pay handsomely for anything extra you do in the club, yet you pay for it like it's a country club. Do yourself a favor and find a country club, a tennis club, or any other kind of club. and make sure that you're not getting more for the money at one of those. In the face of these incredible unannounced fee increases, their management team is conveniently out of town for meetings, so there's no one to talk to and after trying to I was directed to write to somebody on the app. When asked if there would be any more surprises, It was suggested that they expect a two month cancellation and would be charging at their new unannounced rates - meaning they want to try to take you for a ride for several hundred dollars if they feel like it. This used to be a great club, now it's another wolf in sheep's clothing classic gym-based extortionary money grab. Avoid this establishment and their shitty California-based management team. See Google Reviews for other takes on this issue.

As a 10+ year member, I concur with the other comments stating that the value for the membership price has gone down since the acquisition of ClubSports by BayClub. The only improvement that I have seen is free coffee in the morning. Besides that: - The dues keep increasing by 10% each year - The staff is a bunch of teenagers who are obviously not very motivated - The men showers do not look clean and some lockers often do not lock properly - Management is not visible or available - The new membership based on friends rather than households seems to be more about volume than quality. I am currently looking for other alternatives.

This club gives us everyone we need, so we really don't have many complaints or suggestions. However, we would love to see more healthier food options available. Their restaurant has healthier options, but isn't open on the weekends, and there are no plant based options in their breakfast station. Example: every smoothie has whey powder or milk. It would be really nice to see plant based options here.

I cannot recommend this gym. I was a customer and held a membership at this gym for over 20 years. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and cancelled the account in June shortly after the diagnosis. They were completely unwilling to work with me during this time and required an additional two months of payments. It is a shame that this is how they treat their customers and shows a complete lack of compassion in how they conduct business.

We have been very disappointed in our experience with the bay club. We joined so our kids could have access to the pool for the summer but on multiple occasions the pool has closed for prolonged periods of time.. they have blamed it on chemical imbalance or too much sun screen in the pool. Either way, it’s hard to justify spending this much money on a membership when the pool availability is spotty at best. Do not recommend.

Came as a guest and was treated like a paying member. Staff went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience. This is a wonderful facility with enthusiastic staff. I really enjoyed it.

I will no longer advocate the use of these specific facilities because of the negative experiences that I have had, including rude patrons, inaccessible facilities, increased theft, poor security, and high membership dues. These factors have made it difficult for me to have a positive gym experience and have led me to purchase exercise equipment for my own personal use at home.poorly trained staff in the front desk who have little to no customer service skills or hospitality training. 2) Lack of above mentioned amenities even though my dues did not go down. 3) Lack of any "adult" employees available to ensure a great experience you would expect from spending upwards of $250-300 per Month forThe locker rooms and pools are always dirty.I would absolutely avoid this place. The quality is fairly nice, but good luck getting the time and space to treat yourself to the workout you deserve. It's just not feasible with the high volume of traffic.Even inside you get the run around. They send you back to email and phone which you don't get any answers, no one returns your call if you leave messages. All they do is to keep charging

I've been a member over two years and have watched this place decline over that time. They used to have the outdoor pool and hot tub open during winter, this past season they drained and closed it. They used to offer 3 hours of child care per day, then they dropped it to 2. Now they just sent out an email saying they are jacking the rates up $15/person/month. For my family of 5 that's an extra $1000 a year for less services than we previously had. The facilities are nice, but it is no longer the value it used to be.

Used to love going here. This gym has all the bells and whistles...saunas, pools, group fitness, member events etc. Biggest turnoff for me was when my friends wanted to end their portion of the shared membership and bay club told me since i was not the primary account holder, I would have to repay a joining fee of 250 to stay active at the club. But i was on my own membership before I did the shared. A shared membership is cheaper. It was really disappointing. This place makes so much money and it's sad they are nickel and diming people. Needless to say, I no longer go there.

Half the time when trying to enter the Bay Club, their app has dropped me and I am told to re-log in. While I’m doing that everyone else entering is easily scanning their cell phone and quickly walking on by. I ask the nice, friendly people at the desk what’s going on? “Are they trying to tell me that I’m not Bay Club Material”. It sure feels like that’s the message. The desk staff is always helpful and cordial, but there’s some major incompetence elsewhere in the organization that even the goodwill of the desk staff won’t compensate for. It gets tiresome.

We just joined here and are so impressed already - our last club wasn't working for us anymore & so we toured Bay Club and signed up immediately with zero hesitation! The staff has been extremely communicative & helpful, the app is a dream and the facility is impressive. If the classes and childcare are as great as I think they will be, we've found our perfect spot! Yay!
