I can't say enough good things about Crescent Grove Cemetery. My husband and I have had the honor of visiting on a few different occasions. The first was to view an ancestor of my husbands grave. Serena who works there, was very knowledgeable about the grave sites, researched their records and walked us right to his grave. The grounds lawn, trees, and landscaping were perfect and in fact they were manicuring when we were there. We also attended the amazing Memorial Day ceremony held at this cemetery with the Tigard American Legion. The cemetery again was groomed absolutely beautifully with American flags lining the streets plus an American flag was placed at the grave sites of veterans. They had a welcome tent where they greeted each vehicle and assisted families in finding loved ones graves using their record books. I even had a question about an interesting headstone from the early 1900's and the staff taught me a bit of history about the cemetery. The staff was genuinely kind, caring and helpful. 5 stars seems hardly enough. We highly recommend this cemetery.

For ancestors buried in this cemetery. It would be nice if there was a way for genealogical lookups of ancestors who were buried here, online. My 2nd great grandparents are buried here, and now I will have to try and call to find out what other possible information I might be able to find for genealogy purposes on them.If they had online resources to find out where your loved one is buried so you can easily find their gravesite, and to have any other pertinent information from death records, like parent names, birth dates etc., it would be very helpful. Not everyone who has loved ones buried here still live in Oregon.I do a lot of research and many other cemeteries have this type of information online in easy search format, especially for the more historical gravesites. I would think anyone who’s been gone for more than 50 or 75 years should have this information listed. It does look like a very beautiful and well cared for cemetery though so I gave it 3 stars instead of 1 star. In today’s age you should be able to do an ancestor search and find the exact gravesite, and details for your relative online.

Without going into too much detail: This cemeteries sales staff takes advantage of the customers grief stricken state to make a sale. Saying gross things like: you should really consider buying this water proof box for an additional thousands of dollars so your loved ones body isn't in the water underground. Gross. They also sell headstones for 2xs the price that you can order and have installed direct from a local dealer. They will even go really low and pit family members against each other to make a sale. Ick. The sales woman was whispering stuff about "legal rights" to me directly after I had lowered my gramma into the ground. Have some respect and decency. I would never bury another loved one here. Ever. Beware of death made into a big profit. Yuck.
