My husband and I had an interesting experience at this hotel. I responded to a survey directly from the hotel/Hilton and requested a response; since I have not received that, here goes the public 1 ⭐.We had reserved the junior suite so that our toddler would have his own bed (hide-a-bed). We were immediately told upon checking in that this room was out of order and we had been downgraded to a standard king room. I let them know this was not what we had reserved and asked if they could call over to the embassy suites to see if something more comparable was available. He asked if I wanted to see the king room there and I said no and again asked him to call the other hotel. He left and returned 5-10 minutes later stating 'the room is now ready'. I asked skeptically if this was the same room he had just told me was out of order. He said yes and that his computer just hadn't updated. I was still skeptical and not sure what we would discover when we arrived at our room.We walked in and found a raisin on the floor, a gross brown stain in the toilet, and when we opened the hide-a-bed, there were 2 flossers sitting under the cushions and a decent amount of dog hair. I couldn't wait to get out of that room - yuck! ?? Lastly, my toddler was barefoot in the room for a couple of hours and the soles of his feet became visibly soiled from the filth of the carpet.Rooms: Dirty

Been staying in this Hotel for work for 2 months. Rooms are clean and housekeeping staff is very nice. Jade at the bar has exceptional customer service skills and is super friendly. She gives her time and makes tou feel comfortable, welcome, and makes my stay away from my family a little easier. Wish I could clone her.. She is a ROCKSTAR!!!

This is the oldest looking Double Tree I've seen. The place was clean but has seen better days.I booked a single queen bedroom using points. The room was small, with no desk or chair. The young woman who checked us in was great!

Truly the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in. The entire hotel is disgusting and Hilton needs to close it. I can’t believe I paid full price for this place. Hilton needs to send a district manager to inspect it. Never again. Even the clock was set wrong.

Fast and easy check in. Hotel has 2 buildings, accessibility to just about everything by Washington Square. Great customer service and had an issue with fridge not working. Made a call and fixed in 10 minutes.Rooms: Comfortable well set up, clean and most rooms have decent viewsNearby activities: Restaurants, shoppingSafety: Card key accessible, outside well lit. I felt felt very safe there.Walkability: Very walkableFood & drinks: At least 5 places in walking distance and on-site bar/food service and breakfast options depending on what you choose.Noteworthy details: If your looking for something specific call and ask, online doesn't show all possible amenities. Nice pool area inside and fitness/gym, conference rooms and computer area all on main floor/lobby.

I have the same complaints as another guest. I stayed there and was pleased with the customer service, the front desk staff. The rooms were in disrepair. Our first room smelled horribly like smoke so we were moved to another room. Our second room was in bad shape. The desk chair had the arms broken off, the lamp shades had holes in them, the bed frame was frayed, and the fold out couch was ripped. I have stayed in many Hilton properties and was shocked and the quality of our room. I was embarrassed and had to spend my entire stay defending my choice, to my friend, as to why I booked this hotel. This was not the quality I usually experience in a Hilton property. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I will not be returning to this property.Rooms: The room was run down & in disrepair.

The furniture in the room was so dated and ruined, looked like furniture from the roadside curb. Very container of moldy is cream in the refrigerator. Buttons on the very old phone in the room are worn, room smelled like stale cigarettes, carpet is very old and should be replaced, definitely can tell there has been water leaks from upstairs, drug vagrants smoking off their foil outside the room window under the tree were loud.

It's too close to Portland but it's far enough away to fill mildly safe. The staff on the other hand is phenomenal. Some of the furniture is peeling which is a little odd for a hotel of this caliber. Maybe they're waiting to do a major remodel.

Recently checked in after a long day travelling, 9:15 pm and no place to park. The front desk clerk was not behind the desk, and didn't show up until we called out over and over for assistance. There was no bell. Clerk reluctantly came out of a back room, checked us in, asked if we wanted a cookie, then proceeded to ask us to come back in 10 or 15 minutes when they'd be done. Why bother asking if you don't have any? The clerk didn't tell us how to get to our room, so we searched for the nearest elevator. Inside the elevator, there was no Floor 4 button, so asked the clerk how we can get to our 4th floor room. We were told we had to go out of the main building to a secondary add-on to the 2nd set of elevators that served the 4th floor (would've been nice to know at the start). As we neared the 2nd elevator, we were accosted by some kind of religious event that included a very loud preacher, loud music, with the doors to their event wide open so everyone had to hear it. It was so loud that it felt like we were at a circus. People were outside the event ballroom, kids laying on stairwells, sitting on the floor, looking very tired and worn out. We waded through the people and found our elevator and thankfully rose 4 floors above, hoping the sound would be insulated. The 4th floor smelled musty and slightly damp. Our room, which was nice but again smelled musty, overlooked a courtyard that was right outside the religious event ballroom. The voices and music from downstairs carried up through the air conditioner and windows and we had no peace or quiet. We found a broken door sensor (alarm?) on the main entry door. The bathroom vent was dirty and dusty. Nails were coming througth the paint.....but, back to the noise: We called the front desk 3 times, and no answer. We finally went down to the front desk and the clerk was again "away" and we had to call out to find assistance. We asked the clerk when the loud event would be ending, as we would never be able to sleep with all the noise. We respect the right of others to have events at a public hotel, but we, as travelers, seeking our "home" for the night, need peace and quiet, not hellfire and brimstone being preached at the top of one's lungs with accompanying music at a decibel level that was louder than downtown traffic! The clerk was unsure when the event would end, and seem surprised that we had noticed the noise (no noise carried out to the front lobby, as it was far from the event ballroom). The clerk agreed to find out and let us know when the event would be ending, but assured us that 10pm was quiet time, so surely by then all would be quiet. I admit, I was cranky and tired, and wasn't at my most pleasant, but we agreed to go back to our room and wait for a call. A few minutes later, the clerk called to advise the event was ending at 9:30 and all should be quiet from then on. We thanked him and did not hear anything after 9:30 but we turned on the TV just to be sure. The morning clerk was the opposite of the evening clerk (gracious and sincerely helpful instead of awkward and slightly indifferent, almost rude, but not quite). We will never come back to this hotel and in fact consider Hilton brand to be degraded by calling this hotel part of the Hilton family. It's definitely a 2 star hotel but I gave it one star because of the issues we experienced. We stay at hotels at least 10 times per year, and I cannot recall having a less hospitable experience.

The front desk staff member was pleasant. The room looked and smelled like a dog fight had taken place. The comforter had small tears, and the footstools were ripped to shreds.

This property does not deserve to be a doubletree. It is possibly the most run down hotel I’ve stayed at. The AC was ineffective. The room that was given to us was not cleaned appropriately and had hair on the shower and sink everywhere. There were bugs in the room. The service was horrible. They didn’t give you the standard double tree cookie upon check in. And they didn’t acknowledge my status for complimentary breakfast. Will not be returning. I suggest you stay at a different hotel.

The staff were friendly and location was great; however that is all this place has going for them. As a frequent "Hilton" business client, this hotel was terrible. The rooms are not well taken care of and the smell was horrible. It smelled like cigarettes in my room. I asked for a new room and was moved to something "better" and the pictures below are what you see as "better." I definitely will NOT stay here again.
