They offer as much or as little help as wanted, assisting with everything from understanding taxes and fee structures to filling out paperwork and moving complex accounts, even when it involves jumping through hoops. The apps and online tools work wonderfully to give a snapshot of all investments in one place. The service includes setting up various accounts, like custodial or inherited IRAs, and offers way more choices of investments, including zero funds. While not perfect, employees are consistently friendly and helpful, readily seeking answers to any question. The overall customer service receives high praise, making terrifying investments feel super easy and leaving customers feeling very taken care of. Fidelity was great to get started. The Index funds worked well. That said,currently (Feb of 2021) they are NOT easily available via phone . ( Probably working with Robinhood people.) That said; once you can get in touch with a live individual; they are very knowledgeable and helpful.
