I love this store! I have been an avid free people shopper for quite some time now! The staff is always welcoming and sweet regardless if I'm looking to buy something or not, they are always quick to help me find my size or put something on hold. They make me feel welcome and are always so so sweet. I love free people :) #EatSleepFreepeopleRepeat

I have been a free people customer for many years now but switched to online shopping when covid started. Recently I had an issue with returning my item online and ended up having to go in store to ask for help. I felt so bad for not being able to figure it out but all of the staff members were so kind and helpful. Not only did they help me process the return but showed me step by step how to do it online in the future!!! I admit I really missed shopping in person so I ended up sticking around to try on and buy a few more items. Will definitely be back!!! Thank you so much to Macie, Maddy, and Zoe for all of the help with tech support and fashion advice lol <3

I have never in my life had a shopping EXPERIENCE better than here. From the get go, staff knows product, trends, how to style, and most importantly make you feel good investing in yourself. And if you can go and MACIE is working, you are in for a treat!!!!

The worst customer service I have ever encountered in the retail world. The young immature staff in this store are unprofessional, snarky and otherwise just nasty to communicate with. If you are simply making a purchase they are fine. That’s where the customer service ends….taking your money. They have no time for questions, comments concerns and the chosen tone of voice has been unappreciated on what is probably the fourth or fifth visit to the Bridgeport location in as many months. Apparently I am spending too much time in their store. What has also become apparent is that the manager is in over her head with her job function, she also has created a culture within the store that has normalized being nasty to the clientele. I understand the work force is different in today’s day and age, good help is terribly difficult to find. We are all feeling it across the country. I have a choice in where I shop, free people is a preferred brand but so is my peace. I will no longer give my money to this company. I have decided to take my experience over the last 2 years in this store as a challenge to find a new brand where the staff is kind, where the staff understands that if the only way a corporation is going to take notice in the way customers are being treated is if sales drop. There are so many good brands out there, I choose not to let Free People have this kind of impact in my life. ✌?

This location does not carry FP movement, but they were able to process my return. Selection is small compared to other FP; service was polite but not effusive.

Walked in with my friend with no greeting. We were the only customers in the store. I asked to try a few items on and the associate didn’t even look up and told me to take any open room. Two other associates continue to try on clothing for themselves and didn’t talk to me or offer any help. I had some pieces I was considering but put them back because I felt like getting their attention would be more work than it was worth.

Small selection. Few sizes. Customer service stinks. Walked around for 7 minutes, no one greeted me or offered to help me find anything. Rough first time.

Was the only POC in the store and was followed around by the manger the entire time I shopped…

More updated (FP) clothing than some other stores. Wish they had specials. I had to buy this!

This chain caters to the younger crowd offering the latest boho styles. I've always been attracted to and dress with bohemian pieces so even though I am not the age demographic, I like to stop in and admire the fashion. This season there are lots of high waisted, wide leg jeans and pants with cropped fitted tops just like I wore in high school! And you know what they say, "if your wore it the first time, you shouldn't wear it the second time around." But I'm not a rule follower when it comes to wearing what I like and what is comfortable. Hard pass for me on the cropped tops but the jeans are so comfortable! And lots of fun belts for the high waisted style. What really captured my attention was a large brown leather tote, the color brown that reminds you of the old west. It's super roomy and was very comfortable on my shoulder. Priced at just under $200, I'm definitely still contemplating. Do I really need another handbag? Ummmm, maybe. This store is much smaller than other locations but that makes it easy to do a quick stop when your at Bridgeport. There is a sale "room" in the back left corner, do check it out. Dressing rooms in the back to the right and the only place with full length mirrors. Wish they had a full length mirror on the floor where the accessories are, it would be so much easier for trying on the hats, scarves and handbags. Thpically it doesn't bother me if I am not acknowledged, but I was walking around and around trying to find a mirror and the two women working there never asked if I needed assistance or said hello. I had to interrupt their conversation to find a mirror. And I was the only one in the shop! They should definitely be more welcoming.

I'm a dire hard free people fan. I've always been more bohemian in my style and I don't like labels or advertisements splashed all over my clothes. Despite the bad reviews for customer service, I have always found the staff helpful, fun & always respectful. I've had some issues with their sizing but that is not a reflection of this store. I'd just suggest you try on before you buy :-)

FP clothes are kinda hit or miss fit-wise since I’m shorter and somewhat curvy. That said, I’ve landed some super awesome pieces that my friends envy, but I’ve also had to return a lot of online purchases (since I can’t try them on first). I’ve noticed that everything FP makes has always been of high quality, and, above all, the people working here are wonderful. Most places make you feel like a criminal for returning things, but these ladies know just how much I spend here (and that I keep a hefty portion of it). Thank you FP for understanding just how challenging online shopping can be, and for being friendly and flexible for consumers caught in (but not abusing) this cycle.
