Car and service were great. I was charged $100 extra though for not filling the tank up fully. I got the tank half full, so I was told to return it half full. I did that. They charged me $100 for it. I contacted them which was almost impossible to get a real person through their phone line. Go to current rentals and then press 4. My rental was over, so I looked for help originally through payment issues which did not have an option for a person. Once I talked to someone, I had to confirm that they would send me an email with the information about the credit adjustment. It has been over a month, and I have not received the credit.Update: Issue was resolved within 24 hours of leaving this review. Befoire that, I was the one reaching out and getting nowhere. The customer service needs to improve, so that customers can be sent to the messenger right away.

I am absolutely appalled by the terrible service I received from Hertz at their Tigard location. I had a reservation for an SUV, which I booked using my credit card, only to be informed after 45 minutes that they had no vehicles available at all! The representative I spoke to was extremely disrespectful and spoke to me in a curt, dismissive tone, making an already frustrating situation even worse.As a customer, I expect a certain level of professionalism and reliability when using a well-known service like Hertz. Not only did they fail to deliver on their promise, but the representative I spoke to was rude and passive-aggressive. This experience has left me feeling disappointed and angry. I would not recommend the Hertz Tigard location.Hertz, if you're listening, please take this as a wake-up call to improve your services and train your staff to treat customers with respect and empathy. I was already near the airport when I made the reservation, and had the online reservation system informed me that no cars were available at the Tigard location, I could’ve have adjusted. Now I’m left in a precarious position. No one should have to go through what I did today.

WORST CAR RENTAL LOCATION.DO NOT USE.Hertz Rep called me on 12/26/23 to schedule my rental date, pick up time, and pick up location. Scheduled for 1/2/24 pick up at 10:15 from Crash Champions off Hunziker (2.3 miles away).On 1/2/24, CALLED ME AT 9:18, an hour before pick up, and tried to schedule my rental date. Informed Hertz rep they had already called and I was supposed to be picked up at 10:15, TODAY, at Crash Champions. Hertz rep quickly informed me they had simply made a mistake, already had my information and would be there 10:15 for pick up.At 9:25, I receive a call stating their driver has had an emergency and they can’t send anyone to pick me up. Hertz rep states they will still have the vehicle, but can’t send anyone to pick me up.I inform Hertz Rep that I am currently on my way to Crash Champions, we scheduled this a week in advance, and that I need Hertz to pick me up.Hertz Rep insisted, “don’t know what you want me to do… Hertz Driver had an emergency… we still have the rental.”It is unlikely that there was any emergency, it is far more likely Hertz Rep made an error and attempted to cover up. Sassing the client and vacating responsibility in a situation you caused, is unacceptable.Easy decision to reschedule with Crash Champions and call insurance to book with Enterprise. No way I would give Hertz money for a 5-7 day rental.Enterprise Rep was MUCH easier to work with and was FAR more knowledgeable about inventory. Also looked into my vehicle to go over what was considered “comparable”.

I rented a car and when I showed up was advised that they were sold out. They "didn't have my phone number" but they had my email and didnt even try to contact me. They also didn't offer to try to get a car from another location or literally ANYTHING. Just sorry, no car for you...with a smile.

I got a great price which is amazing for Hertz thanks to the Uber app button for rental cars and their service was great I recommend it it's a lot of the way but you deal with less traffic at least in the store terrible traffic out on the street anyway thanks guys

Possibly the worst rental car business. The car they gave us was dirty and the tire pressure light kept going off. They kept charging us over $400 saying that we never returned the car but we did @the right time the reservation was for but continued to keep charging the card everyday. I booked the reservation on orbitz.

Customer service was efficient, very friendly and professional. Almost new Nissan Rogue was great to drive. Returning the car took all of two minutes. We will certainly rent a car from this location again.

Customer service was great - very friendly and helpful - thank you for that! The make/model was as we ordered but there were a couple of issues. The back seats were stained pretty badly, and the car wasn’t clean (found a pair of gloves and some used tissue down beside the passenger seat when packing the car). It really could have used a bath and a vacuum before it was given to us. Minus one star. I used the prepay option when reserving online, so I was surprised to find out that I had to pay a $500.00 deposit at pickup, for using a debit card as my form of payment. Um, what?! THAT little bit of information should be clearly stated during the online rental process. If I had known that ahead of time, I would not have completed the reservation. I’ve never had to do that at other rental agencies. My husband dropped me at the rental location and I had my grandson with me, so I had no choice but to pick up the car. Minus another star. The gas gauge said “full”, with a range of 289 miles. When I filled the gas tank prior to returning, the range said 365 miles…which means the tank wasn’t actually full when I picked it up. There goes the third star. I returned the car on a Sunday, while the location was closed. Made sure to take lots of pictures of the vehicle inside and out before leaving - just in case surprises show up on my statement. If my deposit is not returned in full immediately (not in two weeks), I will be very disappointed and Hertz will lose a customer. I held up my end of the rental agreement in spite of the issues. Your move, Hertz.

Reserved a full size sedan a month ago. Called 2 days before the rental date and was told it was all set. Arrived at the rental time to an empty, locked office. A half hour later the agent arrived and said the only thing he had was a pick up truck. That was it. He told me they hadn't had a sedan in weeks. The whole thing felt like some sort of evil practical joke. I had to cancel the trip I had been planning for months.What a joke.

Horrible customer service....cars not ready or cleaned ...zero urgency or beside manner in dealing or engaging with customers. This place is absolutely horrible. I was one of two customers there - one was waiting over an hour and a half and I ended up waiting close to an hour ....just to get an email for a car hold release when I had a reservation. Wife was waiting for me - everyone. Will who was helping (if you call it that) needs a new career. The other two minions in yellow vests didn't do anything either but play on their phones (in all fairness they are just drivers and bring cars back and forth from dealer locations) @hertz I would rotate the staff out here if I were you. Your losing money,Actually - @hertz maybe pay people more so they actually are incentivized to care.I National and Enterprise for anyone wanting a great customer service experience.

I was tricked and lied to multiple times by Will. First I reserved a compact which was not in stock. My options were a free upgrade to an electric vehicle which was not an option based on where I was going on my trip or a paid upgrade. I was forced into the upgrade and when I called for more clarification as to why I was charged Will immediately started yelling over the phone that I agreed to the charges. At the end of my trip I had a family emergency and had to drop the vehicle off early. I was instructed by customer service to call this location and was again lied to by Will. He told me that to drop off at a different location was no fee. When I arrived at the airport I was informed that the fee was actually $250. This level of customer service is unacceptable even for a company known as poorly as hertz.
