After providing a five star review in July for the Public Storage in Tigard Oregon on Pacific Highway, the customer service that I had initially received took a nose-dive straight downward! I am re-posting to spare future customers a less than optimal experience. Everything started out well and I posted a nice review stating that. Less than 2 weeks after renting, they tried to bill me in advance for the following month and I had only been a customer for 8 days. Next, I signed up for the 2nd month free promotional offer which they run all the time and they did not honor it. Also, I called and spoke to at least five different managers at the storage unit to resolve my concerns and escalate it to the Regional Manager. While they seemed to empathize with my situation, none of them provided results. The Regional Manager NEVER called, emailed or text me even one time to provide any clarity to the situation. They showed me that after they got my money, they could have cared less about me as a customer. A simple phone call explaining why I was being billed when I was expecting a free month based on the internet promotion would have sufficed. Needless to say, i removed my items from the storage unit and left it cleaner than when I entered it. Thank goodness I removed my card from autopay because not only did Public Storage try to bill me the following month even though I moved out well before the end of the previous month. . . They sent me a threatening email about pushing me to collections!! Mind you, it was less than 1 week into the following month AFTER I moved out. I kindly replied back to their email letting them know that my attorney would be speaking to them next if the harassment didn't stop as I had time and date stamped pictures (in addition to a phone call from the property manager the day I moved out) confirming I had vacated the unit. My advice to anyone reading this post is DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PUBLUC STORAGE. THEY LACK INTEGRITY AND ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY AND NOT HONORING THE ONLINE PROMOTIONS THAT HOOK YOU. You mean NOTHING to them as a customer and there are many other storage facilities around with competitive pricing and clean units to store your personal belongings.

I did business with this company for several years and I couldn't have been happier.
When I went in the employees were always helpful and friendly I wasn't made to feel like a problem for them. I was treated like a valued customer.
They keep the facility clean and tidy I love that.
I highly recommend them to anyone needing a storage facility for any length of time.
My hat is off to you Public Storage ðŸ¤

Do not rent a storage unit from public storage they will steal your money and tell you happily that they did so. I paid $111 on the sixth to reserve a unit. I went to move my stuff in 10 days later and noticed it was gonna be too small and requested a bigger unit. They did not transfer me to a bigger unit and they would not reimburse me my money nor would they put the money I paid for the small unit for a bigger unit. I Only walked on the property one time and as soon as I did and looked at the unit, that’s when I scheduled a move out for a bigger unit. This is thievery And they do it with such enjoyment. I’m a single mom with a bunch of health issues, I can’t afford wasting money like that

Rent raised after just 4 months by 80 bucks!
I killed 14 rats in that time as well. No matter what I did there was rat poop all over the place.
I moved to a better storage unit facility and I would recommend you do too.

Do not use this storage facility!
Firstly, they will continually raise your rates over time. Literally, we ended up paying $400 a month for a space less than half the size of a standard garage. (Our mistake for not clearing our storage sooner, I suppose. They get you in with a low rate, and then just raise it substantially every 6 months.) At this point, my husband joked that they should be bringing us breakfast in bed every morning for the price we were paying!
Secondly, though, and more importantly, this place is infested with rats! Seriously, they have rat traps all over the place (none with rats in them that I saw). However, the traps are unquestionably ineffective since--when we went to clear out our stuff today--*everything* in our storage was covered in rat poop!
Many things had been gnawed on as well. So, we will have to throw away some items, and clean *everything.* (Not to mention that it is unhealthy to breathe air contaminated by rat feces and urine, and we had no choice in order to clear out our stuff.)
For $400 a month, I should not have to worry about my things being gnawed on and pooped upon! The minimum I should expect is to have a clean, dry, safe, and NOT infested place to store my things. That's the point of a storage facility, right?
Find somewhere else. The staff could be the nicest people on the planet and it doesn't matter if you are being overcharged for filthy, rat-infested storage.

This may be part of a huge corporation, but the staff gives you the feeling that customer service is very important to them. They answer the phone, if not, leave a message and they'll call you right back. They are super helpful in all aspects of the customer experience. Thank you Andy and the woman whom I failed to get her name

Well to be completely honest it is hard to find customer satisfaction anywhere these days let alone amazing prices. These guys Andi and Darren had pleasant smiles happy to be of help and made me feel like they valued me as a customer. I will recommend anyone I know that is needing these kinds of services. Thanks again guys.

I had unit G120 at this property and have had multiple issues. This last issue is by far the worst. Over the last week I have tried pay my bill via online, 800 number, in person, and by calling the property. My online payment methods had been shut off. This property has NO ONSITE MANAGER, therefore it has consistently been difficult to reach someone, anyone. So from May 20th until the 28th I tried everyday multiple times with phone calls to the property and 800# and driving out to the property with the only luck was the 800# who stated more than once that I had to talk to the property to get my online payments reactivated, which I have the proof of all the attempts I made. So in my unit we'll a year ago my son was murdered in down town Portland so in this unit was multiple items that belonged to him which were meant for my 3 young grandsons as well as some of my sons ashes. So not only did this property take away the ability for me to pay they also sold all I had for my grandsons and part of my son. This WAS NOT MY LACK OF WANTING TO PAY IT WAS THE UNPROFESSIONALISM AS WELL AS THE FACT THIS PROPERTY IS UNMANAGED. OH AND THE LAST TIME THIS PROPERTY TRIED TO REACH ME WAS AN EMAIL ON MAY 20TH WHICH IS WHEN I BEGAN TO TRY TO GET MY BILL PAID. IF THE PERSON WHO BOUGHT THE UNIT G120 ON May 28th happens to see this I am willing to pay any amount to get just two items and my son back. As for all of you that supposedly care and manage this property may you be able to look at yourself and sleep at night knowing you took all my grandsons have left of their father. Poor poor management and customer service. Christine the manager at the Aloha property is by far the only employee I have met with this company that truly cared about any issue I came across when dealing with this property. Jacob, Thomas and the district manager ALL ARE HORRIBLE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROBLEM RESOLUTION OH AND THEY SHOULD DEFINITELY NOT BE EMPLOYED AS MANAGEMENT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

My husband and I moved in October of 2023 and had to put majority of our belongings into storage. This place had good pricing and it was close to our new home. However, after two weeks of our belongings being stored here, we started to see evidence of critters being in our unit. Droppings and urine marks were all over our things. Boxes started getting holes chewed into them. Our couch was ruined and everything was dirty. There isn’t a single thing in our unit that was left untouched by vermin. When my husband talked to the front desk person, they simply shrugged their shoulders and said we would just have to file a claim with our insurance. Terrible customer service. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue here but this place is not great for storing your belongings.
