We are pleased with the look of our Refinish First makeover. It looks, feels and smells brand new ! Allow some lead time for your project because they are very busy. For us it was worth the wait. I had contacted other companies with shorter lead times and reading their fine print the services provided were much more limited the what Dave & Claire include and about the same amount of money. Be patient and you will be rewarded with excellent quality.Services: Cabinet painting

They made it easy to decide whether to replace or refinish. I'm not into discarded materials going into landfill, especially when it costs more than recycling/refinishing our existing wood. Pleasure to work with and a great job.

Refinish First redid our old school oak cabinets, maintaining the natural wood as we requested and updating the hardware. Their employees did the prep work and installed a revolving shelf of RF's choosing, to facilitate access to under counter storage. The employees learned on the job as they had never encountered this revolving shelf before.We were very happy with the appearance of the cabinets. However the revolving shelf failed less than 2 years after installation, with many ramifications and problems. Despite many attempts to reach out to them, they did not even visit to see the problems. After hours and hours of consultations, the shelf manufacturer sent a new unit and we were left to locate and hire another installer. The brand is not well supported in the NW - a problem all by itself - and we are now into 2 failed costly fixes and the same issue - a shelf and cabinet that are unuseable, no support or solutions and a major barrier to a future home sale.We appreciate how wonderful RF's wood work is but could not recommend based on failure to provide after job support despite advertising they do so.

We had Dave and Claire from Refinish First assist us in refinishing cabinets and storage closet in two of our three bathrooms. They helped ordering new doors and matching color for both. Dave is one of the hardest workers we have ever met and an incredible craftsman. Our 1978 cabinets are so beautiful now. We are so happy with the results. I have never been so happy to go to the bathroom now. We will definitely have Refinish First back in the near future to do our master bath.

We had tired of the bland cherry cabinets in our kitchen but liked the layout. We hired Refinish First to paint the cabinets and install new pulls and soft close hinges. We had already installed new counters and backsplash and ordered all new appliances. The project went exactly as promised and scheduled. The protective walls of plastic, full covering of hardwood floors and other surfaces along with the zippered doorways meant the rest of our open plan house was fully secured from dust and overspray. David is exceptionally skilled at providing a perfectly smooth finish and also quickly responded with any concerns I raised about detail touch-up. I am admittedly hard to please but couldn't be happier with the result.

Cabinet refinishing and hardware installation. Much of the work was performed by employees with much less experience and skill than owners who are busy all the time. Refinish was fairly nice but hardware installation done incorrectly and unit failed after time. Business had no time to correct the problem and we were forced to hire another contractor to reinstall unit.

Initially we had a good phone conversation and they showed up on time on a Tuesday for the estimate. Acted like they really wanted our business. Said they would get back to us in 3-4 business days (Friday or for sure by the following Monday). They even answered our follow up email with a personal email saying they were working on our estimate. However, by business day 7 (the following Thursday) we had heard nothing so we emailed just to check in and we got an automated response email saying we are no longer doing jobs due to COVID. Just the Friday before they said they were working on our estimate. Were they ever going to call or let us know? Who knows. Haven't heard from them since. I definitely would not hire a company that does not take pride in communicating with its customers. Disappointed.

We had Refinish First refinish the cherry cabinets in 2 bathrooms and our kitchen. They were great to work with and our 20 year old cabinets look new! So cost effective and spectacular results!

Refinish First proved to be a very cost effective way to update and upgrade our bathroom cabinets. While the COVID pandemic made things a bit more challenging, Refinish First was able to schedule and complete the work in a careful, safe, and professional manner. From bid estimates, to work scheduling, and completion Dave and Claire were great to work with and excellent communicators. Very happy with the results and know that the refacing and repainting approach was the right choice for us.

Refinish First met all of my expectations. They started and finished the job on schedule. The crew was professional and considerate. I was happy to find a company to do refurbishing, as I wanted to retain to cabinetry original to my 1956 MCM house. Most places I checked with recommended refacing or replacing with new cabinets. I'm very pleased with the final product!

Our overall experience was great! From the initial measurement appointment and estimate to refining the job, we had prompt responses from their team and very helpful suggestions.They worked with us on our schedule, and were very quick. They taped everything off and cleaned up everything when they were finished. They turned our old brown cabinets (same color as the trim in the photo) into a beautiful white and gray. Our cabinets were scratched and hasn’t been refinished in ages. They installed handles that we bought ourselves and added pull out drawers in the cabinets as well which are so helpful!Every member of the team was polite, professional, and just nice overall.We should have had them do the trim as well while they were here but didn’t even think about it at the time (pregnancy brain). Might have to have them come back out.

David and Claire just finished remaking our world with a complete remodel of our aging kitchen. After 30 years we finally summoned the courage to change the dark, aging kitchen that we've wanted to fix for a long time. Claire helped us work though the options, make a list of choices, and organize a plan. Once we were all agreed David moved in. He's the guy who cuts, paints, installs, and makes the kitchen beautiful. The crew was incredibly considerate in the way they sealed the room and respected our home as they changed the kitchen It took a few weeks, of course, but we emerged from the chaos into a whole new world. I was impressed by the whole process, but the final stage was the most impressive of all. After our kitchen was beautiful the team assembled to scrub and clean every inch. When it was time to move back in the entire room was perfect. Today I was finally able to move into my new kitchen and cook up a storm for the first time. Tomorrow the entire family will be here, and I can hardly wait. Cooking in my new kitchen is a dream come true, and I could not be any happier with our choice to have Refinish First renovate our kitchen.

Claire and David were easy to work with and very flexible with our time frames that changed on our project. They were thorough and receptive to any feedback I had for touchups. The free payment options (e.g. Credit Card) was a plus as most places charge 3% for card payments. I was particularly impressed with how quickly they cruised through our project. They under promised at 2-3 weeks for their bid time frame and over delivered by finishing in a week, which is all you could ever ask. A+ in all respects. Our kitchen and bathrooms look dramatically improved thanks to their diligent work.

I cannot say enough about Refinish First. They were so helpful with great ideas and made adjustments to make me happy. The customer is definitely first with them. Even the other contractors they recommended, tile person, counter dealer, etc. were great. We had enough trust in them that they did a good portion of our kitchen remodel while we were out of town. High quality craftsmanship and product. I highly recommend them.
