Guy behind the counter doesn't know much about instruments. Two simple questions about purchasing replacement parts. Said they might have it but they don't sell it.

Jason is the coolest retail guy ever. He sold me a Boss Katana 50W amp for $199, on sale. It was even better than the Amazon price, and it was brand new in the box so I didn't have to worry about damage in shipment. I got the amp home and it has blown me out of the water ever since. I love everything about this amp. The price, the sound, the noise level it produces! It's the best amp I've ever owned in the 10-15 years I've played guitar. Thanks, Jason! Music & Arts is an awesome store and I will be a customer for life now.

Worse customer service ever. They don’t even say hi or ask if they can help you with anything. They even don’t acknowledge you are there

this place is so bad. they said $136 for all of it...fixing 4 pads and cleaning it up on my flute. the price isn't the problem, they just said it will be done a couple days after christmas and now its the 8th of janurary and they are JUST starting to work on it TODAY. i also had a rude employee say "okay" with attitude after my dad said "we turned in a flute and you guys said it should be done after christmas."

I took a series of four guitar lessons from this store, after buying a guitar from them. At the end of the series, they asked if I wanted to continue. I told them I could not commit to another series until I reviewed my upcoming work schedule and that when I knew what my schedule looked like, I would call them to talk about another series of lessons. The next day, they charged me for another set of four lessons without my consent. I called them the next day when the charge posted and was told by their employee that he would send it up to his boss to have him call me. It's now been two weeks later with no response from them. I called their corporate office for resolution and was told that only the local store could help me. I called the local store, with no resolution. I'm not sure how people can do business this way, but it's disappointing that this is how a company conducts themselves. If you do go to this location, be ware. Also, do not use anything but a credit card to pay for anything, so it can be charged back when they play their games.

Never seen an employee so uninterested in. Doing their job. Came in with the intention of spending over a $1000 and was basically refused due to a lack of knowledge with their store credit card. Why issue a credit if you are going to discourage customers from using it? A total disgrace to Music & Arts fine name. Stay away on Sunday afternoons as you will get zero service and nothing but teenage girl attitude!!!

We tried to rent a saxophone for our daughter for jazz band. They had it marked "in stock” on the website so we signed up and were told it would come in a week. After more than a month it had not come and we were being billed already for it. We found one at another shop that we could get and so we attempted to cancel the reservation as the sax had never arrived. We were refunded $20 of our $60 and told the rest would come back in a week or two. We waited and the rest didn't come. We called the store and we were told its all handled by their customer service at headquarters. We call customer service and speak with the agents at their foreign call center a couple of times who were rude and unhelpful and said "we have no proof that you never received the instrument. You need to call the store and ask them to contact headquarters." We told them we had already contacted the store and they gave us this number. The $40 isn't the issue, it is just big business that can't handle even basic billing errors on their side or resolve them when we bring it to their attention. I will never go there again and recommend everyone else avoid the place too. Again: incorrectly displaying the instrument "in stock" on the website when it was over a month out and never came, not refunding the money correctly after they said they would, implying that we are liars after we try to contact them to get this resolved. We have no one else to reach out and still want our money back. So we will voice our complaint here. Double thumbs down.

Thank you to Jason, Brenna and the rest of the team for standing by the products you sell and repairing my recently purchased saxophone at no charge! This kind of behavior is what keeps me coming back year after year.

Needed an instrument for an event in Oregon but love out of state. Rented one here. Rental and return were both easy. Friendly service as well.

This place is a complete money scam...paid for a whole overhaul on my alto sax ($795) and they didn't tighten the screw that holds the bell to the body...and then charged me an additional 20 dollars for the replacement screw less than a week after the overhaul...Plus they quoted me 120 for the current repairs...made me wait a week without doing any work then proceeded to renig on their word and charged 180...The management only car about money and not about customer service.. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Renters Beware- Keep all documents or rent somewhere else!!! We rented our 5th grader an alto Sax from Tigard Music. Instrument was great, easy process. No problems. Returned the instrument in February (before the end of the school year), we got a small refund. No problem. Then in August I get a notice from collection agency saying I owe Music and Arts $55. Come to find that use to be Tigard Music and they say I didn't return the instrument. Music and Art customer service says I have to deal directly with the Tigard location. The Tigard location employees and store manager wouldn't solve this even though in their system it says I returned it. In the course of the last two months I've called 4 times, have gone in 2 times, called the call center of Music and Arts 2 times and it still hasn't been resolved. I don't think I'm alone in getting sent to collections before even getting a bill.

Called to ask if they have any guitars for kids before I drive an hour. Dude on the phone says yeah! Get there the same day, dude says “aww, thought we had some but I guess not.” Not even a sorry or anything. Just rude.

My family has used Tigard Music exclusively for 40 years with great experiences. Called today because I discovered our school year rental is through today (Even though school isn't out for us yet.) I called to ask if it could be returned tomorrow as I am stuck home with Covid and need to find someone else to return it. I was told that if it's not back today I'll be charged for an additional month. When I asked if they sent out reminder emails or letters as in previous years I was told that they were bought and don't know what the new company did. Will no longer recommend or use since the new ownership doesn't appear to understand what service is.
