Took 15 minutes to get help, they dumped awful smelling chicken feces indoors, lost 15 min of 75 min rental before I received the keys.
The people are friendly though.

I had a negative experience renting a trailer with one of the employees. I would have been posted one star, but Freddy was able to smooth it over and I ended up going with a different one. Great guy.

Several days ago I reserved a sander for pick up today. I received no less than 4 reminders from Home Depot about not forgetting to come get my tool on time. When I arrived at the rental, my reservation was in the system but the guy working there could not find the sander with my reservation number on it. They had about 5 other sanders but instead of offering me one since I drove all the way there, the guy just said can’t done it. He never offered me one of the other tools nor tried to get a replacement from another store. No help at all. I will never waste my time on this Home Depot location again.

The checkout system at this store is an absolute, disorganized nightmare. I don’t think it would be possible to dream up worse flow of traffic and efficiency. It’s insane to me that in this day and age and a corporation this large, a better POS system hasn’t been put into place.The customer service is poor in general and I’ve tried calling multiple times and multiple times of the day and the phone just rings forever. Nobody has ever picked up.

Robert in the tool repair department helped me adjust and recalibrate my ryobi chainsaw. The chainsaw would either cease up me or the chain would fall off immediately. He showed me how to readjust it on my own, ensure I fill up the chain grease, and sent me off on my way pretty quick. He was nice and helpful.

It's next to impossible to get anyone on the phone in the rental department. We ended up calling customer service and one of their people physically walked down to tool rental to get our question answered.Additionally once we got our equipment rented they did an awful job explaining/showing us how to use it. We got the machine home and spent an hour just trying to get it running and moving at the same time. The engine still puttered out and we ended up returning it and getting a refund on our rental. Big waste of time. We'll just save up the money to hire someone to do the job for us.

I rented a pressure washer and it had 3 of 5 tips, I pointed that out to the guy and he said we only rent them with 3 tips. I'm sure you can guess what happened when I returned it, they wanted to charge me for the 2 missing tips. Long argument with me demanding they call the guy who checked me out that morning or get the manager over here. After he put on a show for the other 3 customers and waited on them, he let me go "this one time" without charging me. So get everything in writing including any scratches, dents, bent or missing pieces since some of their associates will charge you.

Customer service A++++, simple flat rate for each day rented (24 hours = day), no additional charges for mileage...Single female, moved myself so it took me a bit, had to make a couple trips but that was okay, no mileage or time crunch to return.Thank you, such a blessing!!!!

Periodically, I rent a trailer to take a load to the dump. Never had a problem with the trailer itself, but it takes forever to actually get the equipment. The whole process is clunky and inefficient, even when the rental center is fully staffed.
