The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. However, as a new patient, my overall experience was disappointing.
I am neurodivergent and have significant sensory sensitivities surrounding my face, especially when it comes to the glaucoma puff test. I’ve never been able to complete it, but in all my years of wearing glasses (16+ years) and visiting numerous (probabaly a dozen) optometrists due to insurance changes or moving, I’ve never had an issue continuing on with my eye exam—until now.
At this location, I was told that while I had the right to refuse the glaucoma test, I would not be able to proceed with the rest of the eye exam without completing it. This was upsetting and confusing, as every other optometry office I’ve been to has allowed me to simply sign a waiver declining the test and continue with my exam. I understand that this may be the office’s policy, but it was incredibly disheartening to be unable to continue with my eyecare because of it. I also was not offered the alternative method for glaucoma testing (the one where your eye is numbed and gently touched), which I’ve been able to tolerate in the past. I’m still unsure if that option is even available at this location.
I honestly left feeling embarrassed and ashamed walking out of my appointment without being seen—something that has never happened before in all my years of receiving eye care.

Thank you so much Elias for all of your patience and awesome assistance! You've always been so patient and helpful, and I really appreciate it. You've helped me so many times with sizing my glasses and even ridiculous things like fixing my glasses because my eyelashes were hitting the lenses! Ha! I live in Hillsboro, less than a mile away from your Tanasbourne store and I take a $50 Lyft ride down there to work with you! You're all so great! I've had excellent experiences with everyone and every time I go there! Thanks for the great service! Definite A+ rating!

I would recommend this store if you need a new prescription right away. I canceled an appointment with Eye Health NW; the wait time was minimum three months!! The doctor at VWorks saw me on an unscheduled visit and I received my prescription! Staff at this store is friendly and Lily especially was helpful and knowledgeable with the insurance parameters. Everyone there is welcoming!!

The person running the front desk and helping customers find glasses and process orders was so friendly and helpful. They were super thorough and clear about my coverage and cost. They explained what add ons I could get covered and what I needed to pay for as well as discounts available.

Everyone was nice and helpful. I didn't feel like I was an inconvenience or just another patient. The people at the counters were nice and had good attitudes and were in good moods. The doctor was nice, smiles. Everyone seemed happy to help. Good experience. No complaints. Just waiting for my glasses now. Should be about 2 weeks. But loved the pick and price

I have had a great experience at the Washington Square Visionworks. Every time I need to buy eyeglasses, I go to that optical. The associates are very kind and helpful. As soon as I enter the eyeglasses store, an associate approach me to welcome and offering help. Today, May 26, 2024, Jacob helped with my glasses. He answered my questions and explained all the things I needed to know in concerns to insurance coverage. The other thing that makes me come back to this optical, is the quality of the glasses. I recommend them. Thanks Jacob.
