We were trying to open a new account at this WAfed Tigard location. We have a living trust so we brought all of our paperwork to make sure we were covered setting this account up under that umbrella. After sitting there for a good hour signing paper and answering all their questions we wrote two checks from our savings account at BOA. Everything seemed fine and we left being told it would take a couple days to get it all processed and set up.After a week had gone by and checking to see if the checks we had written had cleared, which they had not, we called a asked what was the hold up. They said our checks were returned to them uncleared. We asked why they had not contacted us and they said they thought BOA would. We called BOA and they checked all potential transactions and said nothing had been rejected or tried to be processed that had not cleared. We then called back to Wafed Tigard branch and they said we should be getting notification via mail from them.At this point we said we would bring cashiers checks from BOA and asked if we brought those if we could proceed. We were told yes, so my wife got the checks and went back in. She was told when she arrived that the paperwork had been closed out and we had to start over.At this point we decided to go to Home Street bank just down the road in Tigard. My wife went in explained the situation and they said they could process everything if we brought the trust paperwork in. We went back in an hour later with the trust paperwork and 45 minutes later everything was complete.In hindsight, the person at WAfed didn't really seem to be on top of it having to go ask the supervisor a number of questions. But the most glaring issue is they couldn't pick up the phone and call???? What is the point of interacting with a person if they unwilling to interact back. You might think it was a hassle for them to set this up but the amount we were transferring in was signaificant, so if that is thier attitude, no point in baking with them in the first place.On a last note, Home Street Bank in Tigard was on top of the task and were able to process the entire setup without any help from the supervisor except getting a final signature for the cashier's check deposit.

I used the ATM but need a five dollar bill, so I went through the empty drive through thinking simply get change. I was told “If you don’t have an account we’ll have to set up a profile before I can do any transactions for you”Me “but I just paid $2 to get this $20 out of your ATM”Clearly I’m not going to do that. So I left annoyed.It just seems strange to me.

Went in to resolve an issue, they claimed to have handled it. Maybe it's because of new management but my account is still messed up and it turns out they didn't resolve my issue after all. Incredibly dissatisfied

Not helpful at all. Wouldn't do a cash advance on my debit card like most banks too.
