The guys in here were super patient. I cant imagine the amount of times they have to repeat things to people but, they were unbelievably patient and helpful with my naiveté towards wood working. They have an awesome selections of tools, varieties of wood, helpful staff, and pretty much the best selection around. If youre new to wood working come here!

It's a toy store for anyone who likes to craft wood projects. Never been to this hidden gem in Tigard. Huge selection of tools, and gears plus they even have a wood room in the back. The guys working there also seemed very knowledgeable. This store may have just gotten reengaged with woodworking bringing back some fun memories of high school shop classes.

The staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to help. I have been able to ask many questions without ever feeling judged. Even my wife (she does not like working) was able to go in alone to get help to understand and pick gifts for people.

Such an outstanding resource for all things woodworking. Hand tools and clamps to power tools and actual beautiful imported lumber of all types. Too much to list. If you love to transform wood, this is your place.

Came here and bought a few things including a kreg pocket hole 720 pro. When I got home i discovered it had been an already opened box or return. There was saw dust in the product and the long square driver bit was missing.I would have been fine buying a open box product but this wasn't marked as open box and it was the full price of $149. Overall it wasn't a good first experience with this store.

Woodcraft is always fantastic. The employees are nice and helpful regarding most questions. They have an awesome selection of wood, I feel like I find a new species of wood I have never heard of every time I go in. They also have a slowly increasing section dedicated to knife making, including pre-made and heat treated "blanks" to which you can customize and add your own handle. They also have plenty of handle material to choose from and a selection of mosaic pins. Even their employees at the 1-800 number are great, I was putting together one of their folding knife kits and accidentally broke the belt clip while trying to bend it out a little bit so it fit better (completely my fault) and their customer service people have a new one in the mail for me free of charge.

So im not posting for woodcrafters its for the product. I finally got around to being introduced to. By woodcrafters. The upselling was beginning to annoy me but i was easily annoyed at the time. But eventually. We got to where we wanted to be. I Re-Condition Woodstock's for bang bangs pre-1964 only so great Walnut ect. For YEARS ive been taking 50-60-70-80 Year old wood and "sinfully removing the finish" so as to breath new life into it.Do it wrong your an idiot. Do it right your a Master. So. Woodstock finishing. The finish after my RUB RUB with LinseedI used to always use TRU-OIL. It 'worked' but there was a. 'But'. Varnish. Spar varnish, Lacquer, water base , oil base , spray on ECT,ECT,ECT gets oldWhat I'm after is a "finisher" after all my efforts of "PREP". THAT I RUB ON AN WALK AWAY. with Tru-Oil it would be (next day or two) polish out. Results be as they are.Woodcrafters turned me on to "ODIE'S"$50 bucks a jar butittook a teaspoon to do my stock and. Well. Best fun stuff I've ever dealt with in 40 Years. Ill be wiping off the haze in 1 yes 1 hour and have deep deep grain figuring and no stain sand distortion. The "dark" Odie's only enhance the natural-doesn't 'fake' darken it.The hours and hours i would "Power-Fire-Hand" the tru-oil in with rub'rib'rub'rub (great results). I was able to achieve with ODIE'S in In. 5 minutes.

I don't even know where to start. They were absolutely amazing. I was wanting to get a razertip burning machine, they are from Canada, I was planning on ordering online and just by chance had seen that they sold these here.. no where else does! So I go in to buy it, they help me get the cord for it and all the pen the tips that I need and give me a discount for my first time ever being there! I wish I could remember their names. But they helped me in answering all my questions. Getting me my dream wood burning machine and helping me keep my two tired kids happy. Thank you so much guys. Customer for life here.

It is a wonderful store with many pleasant and helpful people. However, it always reminds me how expensive it is to get into wood working as a hobby.

I used to frequent this store regularly. The staff and managers in the past were always helpful and friendly. That is until the last year or even more especially recently. The store apparently got new ownership, with the owners never present and clearly letting the store go to waste. Recently they added an illegal sales tax, which I was shocked to see on my receipt as a “surcharge”. My most recent trip, I learned that they stopped this illegal sales tax.During most recent trip, I was helped by the new store manager, who not only did not only know nothing about woodworking or any of the tools being sold in his store, but he was rude and came across as sexist in his curt and unwelcoming explanations. This store has always been a welcoming place in the past with knowledgeable and helpful associates who have helped me in my various projects. This new manager clearly does not belong managing any store let alone a store he admittedly knows nothing of the wares or customer service. I will not be going back to Woodcraft in Tigard.I recommend anyone to shop at Rockler, Woodcrafters in NE PDX, or online. Don’t waste your time and money at Woodcraft in Tigard, they are not worth it.
