One of the best 18s on the Oregon coast, back nine was a little interesting not sure about the setup on 13,14,15 weirdest three holes ever played even weirder that they're all in a row. Looks like they might be doing some more work back there though so can't wait to play again. New carts are a little spicy though pretty jacked up, somebody rolled one. I'd hate to see it if it was wet out there

The Mock at Alderbrock provides a rewarding golf experience with its fantastic layout and beautiful scenery. The course is well-maintained, offering smooth greens and well-kept fairways. The friendly staff and inviting clubhouse make it a great place to relax after a round. A must-visit for golfers seeking a memorable day on the course.

My husband and I headed to the Oregon Coast to get away from the wildfire smoke and heat of Idaho. We threw in the clubs just in case we found a local course. What a pleasant surprise to find the Mook, recommend by a local we ran into. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful course. We enjoyed a couple of rounds duringour visit. And then there's the restaurant. Great food, no matter what you order, but the clam chowder was fresh and delicious.

Nice course. Recent renovations and future investment will see this facility improve over time. New carts, which are really quick and with steep winding paths in some areas, would recommend an experienced driver.

3 stars but improving. My compliments to the new ownership as they have made significant improvements in the past year or so. If you are expecting championship/country club play, better head to Bandon. This is a blue collar course with a lot of new golfers so be prepared. If you get hit into, it was likely and errant shot from another fairway. The layout is a little confusing and new players get lost. The pace was 4:10 for 18 even after they slipped a 9 hole group in front of us at the turn. Very irritating but in the end, it all worked out. Note to beginners, you should finish each hole in 15 minutes or less. Practice swings and poses are for the driving range. Just keep moving along.
The course has been limbed up, fairways smoothed, flowered landscaping added. The greens are improved but still painfully slow. Welcome to the rain forest.
I read some of the negative reviews and can see how you could be disappointed but this course and ownership
deserves our support. I found the staff to be friendly but if you have an issue, try looking in the mirror. So check your ProV1 expectations at the parking lot and just go have fun.

Fun track at the coast for sure. The new ownership has done and is doing a great job out there! And these carts... what?!?

The old cart given to us had a brake pedal to the floor to stop it, but the course looked flat...front nine, come to a winding cart path with tree roots growing through it, up to the tee box, and dangerously down, with very bad brakes. Back nine, come to two fairways paralleling each other with tee boxes on the same end. Get finished putting, then drive all the way back where you were, tee off, then look across at the green you can't get to unless you drive back once again to the tee box where the bridge is,!!! NOT done yet...Group in front hitting 45 degrees up to a green you can't see, with no fairway.
Fairways and greens so so, tee boxes sometimes level....I think you should put a white chalk line around the entire course, and declare it "GROUND UNDER REPAIR"...but where could you drop.......NOT HERE!!!!

Don’t golf here if you are a senior, disabled, or learning to golf. If you play too slowly (even after letting others play through) other golfers will intentionally drive balls at you. When this was addressed to The “Marshall” we were told it was our fault for going too slowly. Was also told our new golfer “had no business on the course”. Save your $60/person for a better experience elsewhere, or make sure you wear a helmet. Was hoping for better as a local Tillamook golfer. Really disappointed with the way we were treated.

Ridiculous prices and the rudest most bias staff. 150 bucks for two people to play 9 holes. Wouldn’t let us share clubs we brought from home. My dad is disabled and it was my first time golfing, the “golf Marshall” told us to “skip a hole” because we were to slow even tho we let about 4 people pass us prior.
They are blatantly bias towards disabled people and give no slack to people who are trying to learn. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere. No way in hell I’m “skipping a hole” when they absolutely robbed me with their prices. Save your money and go somewhere that doesn’t discriminate against disabled folks or beginners. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I had high hopes for this course. To be honest, the first nine are fine. But the layout for the last nine are crazy. You have to double back multiple times and you even tee off for 15 right in the middle of 14's starting approach. 10 is a drivable par 4 and thus a potential bottleneck. They need to seriously look at changing the layout on the back. Very nice staff, but I think if I lived in this town, I'd only play the front 9. Also, the new carts seem a bit dangerous.

Unfortunately I would give a higher rating but when I have to maneuver around mowers on the tee box and grounds keepers on the green while we play a hole is a bit frustrating to say the least but I see the effort of them trying to maintain the course.

The team has done a phenomenal job cleaning up brush, replanting native plants, smoothing out fairways, tightening up tee boxes and greens. It’s a challenging course so if you aren’t a super skilled golfer bring extra balls and enjoy this gorgeous course.

The Mook is a lovely course. I'm a novice golf-mom (my kids are learning to play but I don't play at all) and my husband enjoys the sport. We brought them out to play 9 holes while on vacation and we all really enjoyed the beautiful views and the friendly staff. With long summer days we were able to get a tee time after 4 pm so we wouldn't feel rushed for holding up serious golfers behind us (something I worry about every time we play back home, honestly). I've escorted my kids on some other golf courses which weren't nearly so pretty or in such good condition. I can't speak authoritatively about a lot of the golf experience, but we were all happy with the rental clubs (new but heavy so be prepared), the driving range bays (not muddy like some I've been on), the grass on the greens, and the overall experience. I was glad to have a cart since it would have been a bit long to walk with kids - and glad the cart had enough pep to get up the hills. I think they're re-building a historic course so some areas have new plant growth that's still coming in, but they're turning it into a real gem that's worth a visit on your coastal vacation.

Okay course. Some challenging holes, but ball friendly.
