Love this store!. My partner and I love stopping by and saying hi while doing our shopping. The customer experience of both the Safeway and the built in Starbucks is really nice. To those who feel this store is/ was a bad experience, I implore you to shop at the one off of 122nd in Portland. That'll change your mind real quick, that experience was terrible. Security eyeballing you, giant windows boarded up because they had been shattered. I felt very unsafe there. This store in Troutdale is how a store should look and feel.

Good grocery store with good products, EXCEPT, nearly every time we use the rewards card, clip and use digital coupons, we do not get the discounted prices and we need to hold everyone up in line going through the receipt with the checker while they review and resolve the issues. Can't Safeway make their app and coupon process work better & reliably? Or go back to paper coupons where we can see them being scanned?

Love the quality of their selections and organic goods… on average I spend $100 or more every time I shop. Relocated from West Linn and I should have known the moment I stepped into this subpar location the level of service would be substandard. Apparently it doesn’t matter how much you spend, the associates at this location aren’t as welcoming to minorities.

I was having a really hard day and went with my son to get groceries I was 10 bucks short and Brooke A paid for the rest made my whole week! I appreciate her so much never had met someone so nice before!

They were having some technical difficulties today (not anyone's fault) and Carmen who checked me out was AMAZING, so kind so thoughtful and outstanding customer service! That lady deserves a raise!

Clean store, good selections, fresh produce. Nice selection of wines, including local ones. Be sure to use your Safeway app for better prices.

This store has gotten more and more expensive since it became a Safeway. I almost never shop here but I came in for a specific product (JUST egg) that said was in stock online. But once we got to the store we found out they’re out of stock.I bought the rest of the items I needed. Something I purchased was mislabeled and I was charged $10 more. I went to customer service and the young woman got upset with me because the product was mislabeled. I eventually was refunded the $10 but she didn’t need to be so rude. It’s not the customers fault when something is mislabeled.

I'm leaving this review for Corporate. You guys at the top are the real issue. I saw you during the remodel, cocky, ladies when long nails (barely doing real work) the men only wishing to make themselves look good ($) You guys brought in horrible management to "reign" over the good ones left in the store. Those so called managers then brought in toxic leads/managers who further hurt the moral and integrity. I don't use names, yet you know who they are when I say new. If this is supposed to be an example store telling from the fact you remodeled it, then do better on all levels. You Corporate slack offs are no better and just as accountable. Also, the two stars is for my respect for the good folk that still work there, and that ha e been there previous to covid.

I most definitely do not recommend applying for this job nor shopping here. I’ve recently been inside the store and witness some ugly things. The poor courtesy clerks gets treated with the up most disrespect by their so called “managers” they use profanity when speaking to them mind you some of these courtesy clerks are still children. They get treated like janitors & trash etc. I witnessed with my own eyes racism from the mangers Carmen and Benny. My niece applied for this job and she’s a black young lady the white hiring manger Benny proceeded to tell my niece that before she gets hired that she needs to know that the people here is basically racist and like to stare and if she’s getting odd looks is based off her skin color. That is very unprofessional and my niece did not accept the job due to her feeling uncomfortable and feeling like she wasn’t going to get treated equally . This job is not very diverse and as a customer I noticed that they only target the young Mexicans and black males around the store. We are still doing racially profiling in 2023? This is uncalled for and I honestly believe that both so called “mangers” need to be knocked down and let someone who is going to treat people with respect and always show equality to not only the customers but the workers as well or they should be terminated. Do better guys this is ridiculous!!

Went in there today, I've never had such a degrading customer experience here. I'm on a food program my insurance pays for. I scanned each item using the insurance prepaid food card app. Everything said it was valid to be covered by the same card. At the register. The clerk could not figure out what was not covered by it because it showed I owed more in cash I'm broke af. So I didn't have the money. the assigned clerk at the register, took 5 minutes to look over a 12 item or so list trying to figure it out. I offered to change the chec out items to the ones I knew would workon the card. Based on my previous purchases I made at this location. The person who then came to help ihe cashier was the kicker she th3n proceeded to pay the difference, and told me 3-4x repeatedly to check the items for eligibility beforehand, and said she'd be looking over my back next time (jokingly, bur still disrespectfull)to make sure i got it right so i wouldnt hold up the lines. When I offered the previous cashier 2x to simplify the checkout and take items off to prevent the hold up. I personally apologized to the next person in line for the wait.noke of th3 people who actually worked there did. It made me feel ashamed, embarrased and degraded. She may not have to "look over my shoulder next time" cause I may just never come back.
