My stylist is really great. She does a great job on my hair of course, but recently, after I had knee replacement surgery and was not able to climb the stairs to her 2nd floor station, she arranged to use a colleague's 1st floor station to accommodate me. She had to bring all of her supplies downstairs! I was very grateful.

I was looking for a new stylist, and was recommended to this salon. I called and explained what my needs were and made an appointment which was quite a few weeks out due to their busy schedule. Excited about my hair day. I show up and the stylist tells me she can only highlight half of my hair because there isn’t enough time on the schedule. She apologized and said “ I’m sorry, but I don’t have anything to do with the scheduling.” Then she asked me if I wanted to reschedule having sufficient time. WTH?! Terrible customer service!

All of the staff are so friendly and warm. I’ve gotten my hair cut by two different stylists and they were both wonderful. But my absolute favorite person at the salon is Kristi. She has been my waxer for over 3 years and is just the absolute best. She always makes me feel comfortable and does a great job every time. Love her!!

Kristi is a fabulous aesthetician! I’ve had many services done by her (facials, waxing, lash lift) and she always does a great job & uses high quality products. I now take my teenage daughters to Kristi for waxing and they love her too! She’s also personable and enjoyable to be around. I regularly get my waxing done by Kristi Falt… she is absolutely amazing! She gets you in and out before you even know it happened. I am an extremely jumpy client when it comes to waxing and I have never found someone who can wax my bikini area so well with minimal pain. Her office is clean and comfortable ans she uses high quality products that you can feel… I generally get ingrown hairs and those seem to be minimal since I’ve started seeing Kristi. On top of all of this, she is a great conversationalist that keeps me smiling and distracted during the most painful pulls. I honestly can’t go to anyone else now because she has truly spoiled me in the waxing world! I 100% recommend seeing Kristi for any of your waxing needs!Service: Body waxing

This place does a good job…which is probably why they’re so high priced. My problem isn’t the price though. They’re always booked a couple weeks out and I had an important event I didn’t want 2 week old nails for so I went somewhere else. I called to cancel my appointment and the next day was charged for the service I cancelled. When I called to ask about it I was informed that Allison Sneath has a 48 hour cancellation policy. Which I was supposedly informed of (by word of mouth with no supporting documents or signage anywhere in or around the building) at my first visit. WOW scandalous.Services: Pedicure

I just had a hair appt. And asked the stylist to use olaplex she insisted on using k18 I've been to this salon before and my hair wasn't in the greatest condition and I left with beautiful blonde hair done by Nicole- she is amazing!! The stylist that did my hair said she has been doing hair for 10 yrs and she's in her mid 20s. I haven't used any heat on my hair since I was there a week and a half ago and have only washed my hair 2 times and today I thought I'd use a hair dryer and a curling iron and noticed my hair was breaking off.... I wish I would have seen a stylist that used olaplex.

This is the only salon I've been to where hair services don't have some kind of satisfaction guarantee or the stylist is not willing to work with the client to remedy a problem. If something doesn't turn out right, you will eat the money you paid and have to go somewhere else and pay again to get the service done correctly. This was my experience as a first time customer at Columbia Gorge Salon with Michelle Fort. And to make matters worse, the callous way Michelle treated me once she finally returned my phone call was absolutely appalling. I went in for a hair cut and a root touch-up of my blonde colored hair that has brown and gray growout . The hair cut was okay but the color job was not successful at all. When Michelle finally called me back two days later after leaving two messages, I kindly explained that I thought my hair looked good in the salon lighting after she blew it out and somewhat styled it, but once I got home and looked closely in good lighting and with my glasses on, I lifted up the hair to see the roots and found that I still had almost two inches of gray and brown grow-out all around my head and especially at the crown and around my face, and that the highlighting technique she used as a root touch-up did not work to color the grow-out and cover the gray. I figured it's no big deal and that she could try again using more foils for better coverage, or whatever she thought best. Immediately, her tone was extremely cold, curt, and even angry, as she told me- "she feels that the consult was good and that she did a good job and that she did what I asked for, and since a stylist at the next station looked at it and liked it, she is not willing to do anything". Shocked at her attitude and feeling like a child who had just been reprimanded, and puzzled that she doesn't even want me to come in so she can see what I'm talking about... I kindly tried again to make her understand that it's truly pretty bad, and that everyone I've shown it to says it looks just as gray as before it was colored. I explained again that because I live on a small fixed income, I can't just eat that much money; so I suggested maybe she could keep the hair cut fee and refund the color fee so I can have it re-done. Now she sounds really angry and stated- "she WILL NOT refund any money and that I will have to take it up with the owner because she DOESN'T WANT TO WORK ON MY HAIR". And then she hung up on me. Now her disturbing behavior had me in tears, not understanding the coldhearted blatant disrespect. Why is she so angry?? Why does this well loved salon employ such a person? As Michelle Fort suggested, I immediately called the salon and left a message for the owner; not to ask for a refund, but to report the abuse. That was over 24 hours ago and no response as of yet, and it's Friday. Despite the poor color job and my disturbing experience with Michelle Fort, I enjoyed the location, the old building, and the wine. :)
