Always entertaining, even on slow days and nights. Theater, Lucky's, wine bar and all the other on-site venues make for fun adult eating and drinking. Stay the night and enjoy the hot soaking pool.

This place rocks. Absolutely stunning grounds and property. The soaking pool/hot tub alone is worth the drive from Seattle (ps it's also free) Only people who have sticks up their a** can't find enjoyment here... There's something for everyone and if you're into relaxing, eating, drinking, and lodging at a pretty reasonable value, book a room and get into it. This place is Disneyland for alcoholics.
Walkability: Everything is self-contained onto one amazing grounds that inspires endless exploration.
Food and drinks: You can get good food and booze practically anywhere.
Noteworthy details: Soaking pool/hot tub alone is worth the visit

The room, pool, food and atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The service in the restaurants was disappointing. We left one Bar top after 15 minutes of no service, after we were asked if we wanted, and was handed menus. People kept walking by, checked on the people next to us, but never once asked if we wanted anything, so we left and wandered the property instead. We found live music in the wine bar, that was really nice time. After that we ventured to the pool, I could sit there all day. Overall we had a great time. Service by more than one staff member was apathetic at best.
Rooms: Excellent and very clean.

The property is cool a little confusing to get around it. The service isn’t that great in any area. Have wanted to stay here for quite some time and was a little underwhelmed but still a chill spot if you have ALOT of patience

Definitely one of the cooler McMenamins out there. Besides Grand Lodge, I think this is the only other of its kind. Kennedy School is close, but not quite. Has cigar shops, outdoor fireplaces, a par 3 golf course, live concerts, several restaurants, and their distilleries..

Really cool historical property and a great place to go! We just had a drink and some coffee this time and walked around the property with our dog. Very pet friendly. Next time we are gonna get a room and stay the night, my favorite mcmenamims in the portland area!
Walkability: Beautiful property to walk around and you can carry your drinks anywhere on the property!
Food and drinks: Great food at the power station pub! They also have a movie theatre and you can order food and drinks and alcohol right from your seat while you watch a movie!
Noteworthy details: Really cool place to visit! Great for so many different things! Weather your on a date or with the family there are alot of cool things to do here! I love this place!

One of my favorite places in Oregon. Wonderful casual atmosphere. Cold beer, great wine, good food. Super hospitality and is fantastic for a long soak in the heated pool.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a passport to explore the other McMenamins and the best that Oregon and Washington has to offer.

You go for the warm, lazy river style, soaking pool along with the layout of the land with paths that lead to a variety of drinking locations. Not so kid friendly, so don’t expect to maximize your $$ if you show up without a sitter. Most of the bars on location are 21 and up—including where they often play live music.
Kids are allowed in the pool, so that works for us.
Rooms are fair enough. They have the creative McMenamins touch of hand painted stories for each room. The age is felt along with the occasional cool breeze that comes with the window. Lodge style sounds are to be expected, but folks are on the same page with trying to keep it quiet during designated hours.
Shared bathrooms are warm. The showers had old washcloths stacked in the corners and soaps dissolving in the holder..not sure if it was from some very early risers or from the night before, but wasn’t ideal for the price paid.
Food should be expected to be like all other McMennamins. You are paying for the ambiance and the price is quite high.
Pack a bottle of your own wine and enjoy the outdoor winter soak with your kiddo, spend the night and call it a treat.
