I’ve never been to a boot barn in person, I’ve always ordered online. Today was my first experience in store, and I found the boots that I wanted to show signs of being worn for longer than just a “try on.” There were heel impressions on the insoles of the brand new boots, and they were scuffed and tore up. I’m not the only person who complained about scuffed boots. When I asked the girls at the front they said the boots were just distressed and that’s how they were supposed to look. It does look like the employees get to choose a pair of boots to wear for their shift, so I imagine that is what happened with the boots that I chose. No cut on the price was offered, and no other pair of the boots I wanted were available in my size. You’d think that if I’m paying upwards of $200 for a pair of boots that they’d be in pristine condition, but apparently that is not the case.

Years ago I bought boots from this store and the gal who helped was friendly and knowledgeable.
I went again recently looking for some composite or steel toe women's cowboy boots. They had 3 options in the women's section and none in my size. They don't have any stock of items which is very frustrating. Especially if you find something you like but what is on the shelf isn't in your size.
Their clothing selection is not great. I have better luck finding the brand and style of jeans I want at Wilco.
I ended up ordering what I needed online which is aggravating since I needed the boots for work next week and now won't get them for a couple weeks due to shipping.
Customer service is so so. 3 workers passed me while I was walking around looking lost and none asked to help. I finally asked one gal for help, and she was friendly.
I'm just frustrated that they don't have a good selection in the store.

Been a frequent customer at this store with great experiences since they opened this location except today's experience. We are a Military Family and every time I ask for Military Discount its always honored at times without even having to show Military card because most employees here know us already however today the cashier (Mia) asked for our Military son to be physically present even after presenting the Military card, I was in disbelief so I asked to speak to General Manager a Katrina or Karina came up so I explained the situation but I could observe she was not listening to me and/or was ignoring me and she went on saying it was company policy, I asked if it was a new policy because it has never been an issue before and asked her to pull my previous purchases history via rewards transactions to confirm we have always received the Military discount without a problem and she did confirmed but still went on saying the Military person had to be physically present in order to honor the discount at this point I figured she was just being petty, which seems ridiculous as our Military Son is out on service serving our country he is not going to come from service to shop around with me. Seems unfortunate and pathetic how Boots Barn employees (Mia & Katrina/Karina) decided to act and treat a Military family today, this shows the lack of appreciation for the sacrifices Military members and their families make.

I drove almost 2 hours just to come to Boot Barn because there are none where I live and it was extremely worth the trip! We got there later than expected and they didn’t rush us out even though we tried to hurry. All of the people who work there are so amazing, especially this one girl I forget her name but she has black hair and darker skin. She helped me find the boots I was looking for. She even helped me pull boots off my feet because I have a back injury and can’t bend well? I really wish I remembered her name she deserves a raise. I definitely will be going back

My husband brought a pair of steel-toed boots that were tagged and displayed for 79.99. When the cashier scanned it, the price changed to 184.00. Justin came up front and told the cashier to give us the price guarantee and sold us the boots for the displayed price. A job well done as a manger!
