We want to give a big shoutout to Chris, our regular R & L Carriers driver from the Umatilla plant. Chris consistently goes above and beyond every time he arrives for a pickup. He is not only efficient and professional, but also incredibly helpful and always in great spirits. His positive attitude and willingness to assist with anything we need truly make a difference in our day.
It's rare to find someone who takes such pride in their work and genuinely enjoys what they do — and it shows. Chris is a fantastic representative of R & L Carriers, and we’re always glad to see him pull in.
Thank you, Chris, for your outstanding service!

Chris from the Umatilla office went above and beyond when delivering the 800 lb. pallet to my home. He dropped it off exactly where I wanted it. He was very friendly and professional. I wish everyone was this nice to work with.

Never had issues with them until today was told that I would get charged extra on top of the amount that was paid for shipping for them to use the liftgate to drop off the shipment. What a rip off

They sent a 20 foot truck to an apartment complex then proceeded to call me to tell me they can't get in. So because they don't know how to look at addresses, I had to carry my new 120 pound TV across my complex because not only did they not plan ahead and shaft me the client they didn't even park the truck in the complex but on a busy street and did not offer to take my TV to the address where it was SUPPOSED to be delivered, this was after numerous times of calling me to reschedule the delivery. All in all just the most unprofessional shipping service I've ever used.

I received my Decked Drawer System through R&L Carriers on 1/22/2025. The tracking was spot on during the process. The driver, Chris, was polite, professional and conscientious of my precious goods. Chris even placed the drawers in my garage. Thanks to Chris and R&L Carriers for a job well done!

I’ve had really good experiences with this carrier until today. Other drivers have been very helpful to place various wood working machines inside my shop. The driver today refused to move the pallet jack another additional 7 feet into my shop. Said it didn’t list it on his paperwork so wouldn’t do it. Hard to get good help these days I guess.

Fabian went above and beyond to help put the machine where we needed it with such limited tools and challenging terrains and conditions , would highly recommend.

They transported an engine 1800 miles for me. It was very easy and professional transaction. It was delivered when promised and driver was excellent. If all businesses worked this great we would have more stress free days. Thank You keep up the great work!!

Gotta say these reviews are certainly nowhere close to the experiences i have had, R+L has always delivered with great communication and on time!If i had to guess i would say some competitors were making the bad reviews, i got called today about a delivery from blue ridge heating and air my 2nd delivery in a month and 3rd in the last 2 years and R+L has always had great communication and on time delivery if i could give them 10 stars i would!

This company can't give you a time of delivery, and when they do it is not worth squat!!! Worst delivery company ever.

This carrier company receives an ABSOLUTE ZERO for ineffective coordination for delivery, point of delivery, and complete lack of professionalism at EVERY LEVEL.At NO TIME was I ever informed this company ONLY provides curbside delivery. Nothing further. A wooden pallet containing several hundred pounds of gear will remain where the driver deems appropriate. When R&L Carriers contacted me for a delivery date, I WAS NOT notified of their "curbside only" policy. My assumption was they would be fully prepared to deliver this heavy pallet where I needed it. Not dumped in the driveway. As a 'one-time customer' of long-haul, I am not familiar with current long haul policies or procedures, nor would I be familiar with the policies of R&L Carriers, which provides curbside only. This may be a "Norm" within the trucking industry, but it isn't known by the general consumer. This could have easily been addressed during the initial coordination for delivery. But it was not. As a consumer, I have a reasonable expectation to be notified of delivery specifics and/or restrictions which may impact delivery and receipt on my end.The driver completely lacked ANY basic courtesy or professionalism. Instead, he actually tapped his wrist indicating he had a time-line to keep. When I told him he would standby until I finished this conversation with R&L " Customer Service". This driver actually had the AUDACITY to attempt to upload my freight back onto his truck, which I HAD PAID FOR, and told me he was leaving because I had not signed for it!I then stood in front of the driver and the truck ramp and told him he WAS NOT GOING to put my gear back onto the truck. That WAS NOT going to happen. Lacking any basic professionalism, or situational awareness to de-escalate the tension, his ONLY response was to tell me not to threaten him and stop being hostile!! I restated that this wasn't a threat, it was a declaration that he WOULD NOT put my paid for property back onto his truck. I then told him to stop and that he did not want to go down that road. I was not going to allow that to happen. To paint a better picture;AT NO TIME did I yell or threaten him. I attempted to explain to the driver, that my frustration was not his fault. As a Retired Army Green Beret, I very much understand threat-vs-non-threat terminology and action. This driver lacked the composure and professional capacity to handle a situation which could have easily been avoided. Sad. And this is America. At this point, any reconciliation was a lost cause. Clearly this driver's demeanor is a representation of R&L Carriers and a by-product of poor work ethic and weak company leadership. When I contacted R&L Carriers and spoke to "Customer Service", the response I received was ANYTHING BUT " Customer Service". The ' R&L Carrier Representative' I spoke with defended the driver's actions and ignored my complaint, only to re-state their curbside delivery only policy. As I proceeded to explain further, I was interrupted and given a condescending reply of " You should have checked our website".Again, I re-stated that during the initial coordination, I should have been notified of their delivery procedures.Utter lack of professionalism and basic decency.R&L Carriers are not exclusive providers of long haul delivery. I recommend ANYONE looking for a delivery provider to ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS COMPANY. It is worth paying more to receive a level of professionalism and customer service, which clearly R&L Carriers DOES NOT possess or promote.

Reading all this review we were so worry about taking the day off to wait for our shipment... But everything goes well. Send a message yesterday, got a response earlier today. We got our package on date, nice driver.
