I wanted to get a Library card here since I was new to the area. They wanted 2 items as proof of residency. I was on break from work, so I only had my ID on hand. They said the ID wasn't enough, even though I had used it as a way to get a Library card before. I was able to get a Library card down the street at the Lake Oswego Library with just my ID card. I'm really confused as to the discrepancy in policy only a couple miles apart. Public Libraries are a tax payer resource, why the gate keeping? I don't understand.

It was so lovely to talk to the librarians in the children's section and see all the resources and activities they have available!

Great library. Full tech, innovative programming, knowledgeable & professional staff. The hours of operation are not customer focused, however. It opens at 10 am and closes between 4-6 pm. If you work during the day, you have limited access to this library. This would be a great place for students to go for quiet study - if it were open later.

A few years ago, a couple of my friends were messing around and someone got judo thrown through two bookshelves. We weren’t even asked to leave, very welcoming environment!

The woman at the info desk was cold and short when I asked for guidance on how to use some of their computer and printing/faxing services and offered no help when the fax machine wasn't working. She just shrugged her shoulders and said I could "try again later" after I had already tried twice.

We just signed-up for a library card and had the chance to meet Abby in the Youth section. She was lovely (everyone was) and even gave my daughter a hug. Super helpful and a great selection of books, games... and even a cotton candy machine to borrow!

I'm on a mission to find the best library for remote work in the Portland metro and so far West Linn is winning. It was very quiet, calm and clean with plenty of seating. There are large windows facing a green space, so lots of natural light as well. As a bonus: if you have a Clackamas County library card, you can take seeds from their community seed bank. The seeds were high quality, well-organized, and many of them were organic.

i have never seen a more inclusive library. their selection is wide, and they have a youth area that i would have never left if i had known about it as a teenager.
