I ended up with some questionable steak from the freezer case, but when I called to let him know we didn't feel good about eating it, Travis was extremely apologetic and even offered to DELIVER replacements to me (I live in Jacksonville and had made a trip out to Sams Valley, since grass-fed/finished isn't easy to find in the valley). He followed up with a second call when he didn't hear back from me for a few days and wanted to do whatever he could to make sure I was happy. We ended up settling on a refund, and he sent me out the door with a free package of jerky. The jerky is fantastic. I'll be back to try again for more steaks next time I'm out that way. Thanks for being kind and generous and turning what could have been a disappointing situation into a really nice interaction :)

Travis is who we have used for many years for our pigs and beef. He goes out of his way to make sure all my needs are met, even though my holistic values may be asking quite a bit from him. He has always corrected mistakes (though minor) that exceeded my expectations and it is clear he wants nothing but the best for his customers. He's an honorable man who really has customer service down to a T. Highly recommend him to everyone!

Travis is who we have used for many years for our pigs and beef. He goes out of his way to make sure all my needs are met, even though my holistic values may be asking quite a bit from him. He has always corrected mistakes (though minor) that exceeded my expectations and it is clear he wants nothing but the best for his customers. It's sad to see negative reviews about Travis and Rogue Meats. Let's take into account how Covid ruined businesses due to the employee crisis it created.Travis is a solid, honest man who wants to do nothing but the best for his customers. If there has ever been an issue in the past with us (although minor), I have communicated with him and he has fixed the problem that exceeded my expectations. He has always gone out of his way to ensure I get exactly what I want with our butchering. He has handled our pigs, beef and we have purchases meat packs from him. Very solid and honorable business, I recommend him to everyone I know.

amazing place that does it all!, they got jerky salamis summer sausages. need anything cut to what you want? knock on the door or ring the buzzer and ask, Travis is willing to help any customer. always an amazing place to buy

very unhappy with these people! Ripped off my family. Took extremely long time to process meat then doubled their price without any notice ahead of time. Did not cut the meat like we wanted and there is no way to fix it, almost unusable. We always thought they were the best...but now no way would I ever use them again!

This has to be the worst butcher that I have ever done business with. I had a 1/4 cow sent to them for butchering. The hanging weight was 140 pounds. Upon receiving my meat it seemed obvious that the butcher did not properly cut the meat. All of my roasts were 1.5 pounds or less and I even had a roast that was 0.78 pounds. Who does that? Also my skirt steak was tiny & literally rolled up into a wad looking like a large meatball. Even more concerning was out of the 140 pound hanging weight I only received 73 pounds of actual meat. This is a 49% loss from hanging weight which is astounding. Especially since most of my steaks were bone in. I don't know if the butcher kept a bunch of my meat for himself or if he just had an insane amount of waste because he was doing such a crappy job butchering the meet, but I am pissed. I have never received less than 68% of my overall hanging weight as finished cut/wrapped weight. To only get 51% meet yield is a terrible yield. Where did the other49% go??? On top of that they are charging a dollar a pound for butchering cost! This is the most expensive butchering cost in Southern Oregon. I will never use this butcher again!!

Extremely helpful and friendly service! After calling several butchers and meat markets in three counties for a specialty product, Rogue Meat was the only one able to procure it for me in time for Christmas, and at a very affordable price. Thank you!!

I'd have to say one star is a reach.Well the reason I say that is because your words everything. When told by a business owner they will take care of you then a week or two before changing it up and now I'm left to find another last minute butcher. Heard mixed reviews about this place. Decided to give it a shot and well the owner just doesn't have time to help listen or even talk. So maybe they need to hire some more help? Not sure won't ever recommend this place to anyone. Being a local business owner I'm still shocked how he handled himself
