Wonderful shop, we found this place by accident and we love it and the owners Susan and Brian!! We take the 4 hour drive a few times a year just to visit them!In response to earlier posts about lamp repairs, this is not a repair shop, it is an antique shop. They sell true antiques, we are so glad we found them!!!

I've lived in the Applegate for more than 20 years and am well acquainted with Spit n Polish Antiques. It is a lovely place, and recently I called to see if Brian would rewire two of my antique lamps. I had to make an appointment and he "condescended" to take my lamps. A month went by. I called to see if the lamps were ready. His wife told me he was out of town and I would have to wait to talk to him Two more weeks went by. I called again and again Brian was not available. His wife told me I was rude to her and that Brian would never fix them! Then she hung up on me! I was very intimated and confused. So I waited and took a friend as witness with me on a Saturday morning when I knew they would be open. When I got there, no Brian, but there was his wife. She said she had to call him to find out where my lamps were. Thank heavens he answered and told her so she finally released my lamps to me. Very weird. I took them to Elegance in Grants Pass and they were fixed within 5 days. Too much spit not enough polish! Strange angry people.

I called and made an appointment to have two vintage lamps rewired. It was an unpleasant experience. After 6 weeks I finally figured they were not able to perform and when I called to retrieve them I was very rudely told that I couldnt retrieve them til Brian was there. And he was never there. When I protested the wife told me he would never fix them and hung up on me. Several days later I took a witness with me and was able to finalky get permission to retrieve my lamps. . I took them to Elegance in Grants Pass and they were ready in less than a week

This is true antique store, no reproductions, just great unusual antiques. It's a treat from the time u start down the driveway, and see the folk art on the fence, a real bottle house too. Then the real fun starts, two huge stores filled with treasures, many I have never seen before. Owners are knowledgeable about what they sell, and always ready to help you find what you are looking for.

For months I had been searching for antique hardware that I had lost for a bureau mirror in my move to Jacksonville Oregon. Brian from Spit n Polish was the only person willing to help me and found the solution for $25. And what a collection of unique and quality antiques he has at his shop in Williams particularly antique lighting. Call him and or stop by the shop. It's by appointment. He is the best and so knowledgable about antique anything.
