One star is too good for this credit union, wish I could leave 0 start review. Was in a car accident on 12/12/23, not liable as the person ran a stop sign. They totaled my car, our car insurance paid off a huge portion of auto loan and GAP is to pay off the rest. Even though they were made aware of this, they still took out my car payment. Called in Tuesday 01/16/24 to get refunded this as it is $700 and cannot afford it as I am not back working fulltime yet. They told me "it will be refunded within 1-2 business' days." Called in on Friday 01/19/24 to information needed for my GAP coverage to pay them and they told me "We will not refund you until after we have received the GAP payment" even though they told me on a recorded line that it was going to be refunded in 1-2 business' days! So now I am stuck with this auto loan on top of the new auto loan I had to get for my new car so I can drive to appointments and work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! There is a reason why they have such a low rating on google.

On their website and front doors it says they’re open until 6, and on google it says they’re open until 5, but we called (Tuesday) and they said they’re open until 5:30. We showed up at 5:15 and the place is vacant. We drove 40 minutes to get here for something we have to do in person. Super disappointed

Ted, Ryan, & Amber were amazing! They made getting a checking & savings account very easy. They even offered me different ways to help my situation out, with kindness, which I really truly appreciate. I would recommend banking with them as they have excellent options & are very thorough. They don’t budge too much either, making it easy to say no if you don’t want to go certain routes. Thank you guys so much for the amazing customer service! ?

Found out insurance company sent them documentation to receive payment on the 8th and are so far behind that I'm stuck not being able to get a vehicle because they can't process paperwork in a timely manner requested a manager call me three times never received a call had to go into the branch and still got no answers was thinking about financing a brand new vehicle and possible home loan. Stay far away horrible service

I would LITERALLY give O.C.C.U. 10 stars if i could. Personally i bank with a different Credit Union only due to it being close to my house. I do all my loans with O.C.C.U.- I'm sitting here reading the 1-2 star reviews they're all from people that didn't make their payments..O.C.C.U. has helped me build an excellent credit rating- by helping me out back when my credit was meh- occu approved me-multiple times for loans over the years. They've always sent us mail saying if i need any help due to covid/hardship all i had to do is ask. (ive never needed it but nice to know its there.) Paid off 2 or 3 auto loans with them and have a mortgage with them as well. Every time closing the deals with minimum paperwork- I was expecting to jump hoops- occu closed every loan SUPER SIMPLE with ZERO HEADACHES. I would HIGHLY recommend OCCU- I'll be a member for life.

Hello and good afternoon, I am having a problem with my Obregón Bank account, Credit Union truck, I have a loan on a 2016 Ram truck which bothered me because they want to charge me a cost for an insurance that in itself does not cover anything and for that reason I fell behind. in some payments because after three weeks of driving my truck, it started to break down and today it is broken. I haven't driven it for several months. The transmission is damaged and I am trying to contact the bank and I have gone to the nearest branch to catch up with the account and pay the debt in arrears and continue paying and they refuse to receive the money the payments I have already sent the application about the cancellation of the ripo which apparently for the bank that is more important to want to sell the truck at any price which the value of my truck right now is well below my debt I would re own it They will only give you very little money having the transmission broken and I am trying to keep it and continue making my payments by putting myself on the line day and the bank refuses to receive payment for late payments and catch up because I really don't want to continue having problems with what I feel is a theft or what they are doing perhaps to Miss or to many clients of being charged a high insurance when I don't need it because I have my own insurance which pays much less than what they are charging.

After months of try to get ahold of someone at this place to figure out our loan nothing!! Finally talk to someone and he was a douche! This company is horrible and shouldn’t be in the loan business anymore! They filed a lawsuit on us!! Absolute disgrace. See you in court. Oh and I will be contacting the BBB how many one star reviews do you need of people you guys have screwed over??!!

I have had nothing but get service with OCCU. I financed our trailer with them and got a better rate than my normal credit union would give us. We like them so much, we got a home loan from them as well.

I hate everything about this company. When I bought a car they were who the car lot chose, not who I chose. I can't wait until I'm paid off so I never have to deal with them again

EDIT: I called the number in the posted response. It's just their automated phone system. No one was interested in helping me.My review score stands. This place is THE WORST.Purchased a used car with financing through OCCU. Despite the dealership providing them with proof of my insurance when I bought they car, they still hounded me for months, and even increased the payment on my car, and threatened to do it a second time, which would have increased my car payment more than 50%. When I finally had some spare time to call and get it sorted out, they couldn't even tell me for sure where the money I'm due in the form of a refund would go. I was told it might be credited toward the loan, which would be infuriating, because that's my money that they took mistakenly. I always had insurance. I would never recommend OCCU to anyone. Ever.

Unethical - deplorable company!! They made payment arrangements with us after my boyfriend lost his job and has an unexpected death. Then they decided to repo his truck after less than 2 late payments (and payment arrangements made) and said that he has to pay the loan in full. I hope karma pays you back you swiftly.

I had the misfortune of doing business with OCCU to purchase a vehicle from a person who had a truck loan thru them. I drove 5 hours to go to this location & took the time to stop at my bank to get a Cashier's Check to speed up the process. Oregon Community Credit Union couldn't handle this simple transaction. When I arrived the Seller of the Vehicle was sitting at the banker's front desk with 2 blank copies of a Bill of Sale. The OCCU bank manager for the day was sitting reading a novel & mind you very sloppy looking. The employee who was assisting the Seller of the Vehicle handled things in a very unprofessional manner. She rejected my Cashier's Check by saying that it would take at least 4 weeks to clear. I asked them to call to confirm that the check was valid they refused to make the call. I offered to call & hand the phone over to her since I already confirmed with my bank to prepare for the confirmation call but they refused to accept this suggestion as well. I requested to speak with the manager. This didn't do any good he said that they do not accept Cashier's Check and do not have the staff to call and confirm them. I suggested that he not read books during business hours at work and or hire more staff to call on Cashier's Check. He said that he only reads between customers. Pathetic. I requested to get the check back and go get Cash from my bank. They hesitantly allowed me to drive around the corner to my bank to return the Cashier's Check and get cash. My banker was appalled by the Customer Service I was receiving by OCCU next door. It gets worse. I get back to OCCU give them the cash for my son's vehicle purchase. Next, they wouldn't do the transaction without my Social Security Number? I am simply the MESSENGER/the go between in handling the purchase of my son's vehicle. The vehicle seller thanked me afterwards. She was only banking with this bank because the dealership set her up with the loan. She was buying another car and was not going to ever use this bank again. She said that they were terrible to work with all along and they were just being greedy trying to continue to collect interest from her for just a little longer while holding on to my son's cashier's check. I wasn't the buyer or the seller I am fairly certain that it was illegal they forced me to give up my Social Security Number against my will to finalize the transaction. OCCU is doing bad business with customers and their staff is extremely unprofessional in my experience dealing with them.

I refinanced my motorcycle with them around January of this year and in August I still won't have a title or registration. I actually think their people are trying to do a good job but this place is a mess. They lack transparency with direct deposits. Most banks and credit unions DISPERSE automatic deposits upon receipt but OCCU doesn't even ADVISE the customer of receipt and they don't disperse until the last second. They are evasive as to why so I moved the one direct deposit that I had with them to another credit union. Their apology for poor service seems to have become a rubber stamp. It looks like the only authentic replies are to the small number of good reviews that they get. Reviews are either perfect or totally failing. Mostly the latter. I worry about this place and the mistakes that it might make. I keep no money on deposit with them and let them receive loan payments from another institution. I suspect that very poor, and/or dishonest, leadership is the problem but I have no proof of that. Strangest credit union (or bank) that I've ever dealt with. They also seem to be finding ways to avoid Google reviews.UPDATE: I finally got an Oregon title which I had to convert to a Washington title. I was missing some information that I had failed to retain. I was able to phone the OCCU title office and the person I spoke with was able to fax what I needed to the Washington DOL in a matter of minutes. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. I have two vehicles financed with OCCU so it's going to be a long relationship. I'm hoping for the best.
