horrible, cursed.. 24 hours of disturbance.. home to an illegal chop shop where some local thieves work on their stolen goods all night, banging and sawing through the night keeping awake everyone at the darling historic hotel across the street.. empty shelves and empty fridges, now I know why.. it's just a place for selling alcohol to the local tweakers and letting them work on their stolen merchandise.. encouraged by the unsympathetic owners.. sheriffs office is no help either - what a shame for beautiful Oregonphotos show 3 men using a circular saw at night next to their pickup truck and trailer of stolen goods at 430 am.. and same truck and trailer leaving parking lot at 11am

I have stopped here on all my trips up and down I-5 for at least 35 years. I knew it as a place where I could buy a fresh sandwich. Last week I stopped by and the only thing left were cheeseburgers. Assuming they were fresh and the same high quality as the sandwiches I have bought there before, I bought one, heated it up in the microwave and went on my way. The guy running the place was unfriendly and kind of creepy. New owner? The cheeseburger was atrocious! Absolutely the worst one I have ever eaten. Yes, it was foolish of me to eat the whole thing, but I was hungry and had been on the road 6 hours. I think the cheese was Velveta spread, and the meat was some kind of blend of low-grade ground meat and fillers. The bun was mushy. I read the label and the thing (not a burger) was made in Chicago. Who knows how old it was. It gave me a mild headache. The closest I have come to getting food poisoning in a long time. I will be more cautious in future. Whoever is running this store now is playing a dangerous game. Very irresponsible of them to sell horrible food like I ate. This store used to be busy. The present owner should ask himself or herself why no one stops there any more. Maybe operating a general store is not something they should be doing.
