“I ADORE Mystic! I haven't seen such an intoxicating blend of beauty, funky, and style since Passing Parade Vintage closed in Madison in the 80s. From the perfect 1920s satin tap pants to Murano glass slippers, books on fashion history, Venetian portrait of a Tudor lady framed in velvet, amazing estate and native American jewelry... I almost cried I was just overcome with so much joy. Only two times have I ever experienced that: looking at the Pieta in Italy, and seeing a beautiful bride and groom posing for photos on a gold-encrusted Parisian bridge. That sounds so over the top, but I loved this place that much. I'm an architecture and design writer that delights in things either small or monumental when they hit the right note.”
