Super cool little hardware store! The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We are renting a VRBO house nearby, and they only allow compressed wood fire logs to be burned in the fireplace. The rental house didn't provide any, so we were on a quest to find some. The nice ladies in the mercantile didn't carry any, but pointed us in the right direction to find some. There is a ton of stuff in here! So much that most likely you'll find something while perusing the store. They even have a baked goods case in front. Great little find in Yachats. Would recommend.

Oh my, almost feels like stepping back before the big box stores came to town. This place has a bit of everything! Found three things I wasn't planning on getting, but useful in my world. Lovely find.

Welcoming, helpful, warm, and a library of knowledge about the area! All the shop-keepers were quick to welcome me when I walked in and warm with the conversations they carried. I felt that the store and its owners understood the responsibility of being a landmark and raised the bar in what it means to be a community resource. From little souvenirs to bird seed to locally-sourced smoked salmon, Yachats Mercantile has got it all! Less than 10 miles away from Cape Perepetua, adjacent to the Drift Inn, and across from the fanciful Ona Restaurant, Yachats Mercantile is not only a neighborhood staple, but very likely the glue that holds the community together. Stop here, buy something!

I’m here all the time. They have everything, including the semi-recent addition of bread and other foods. They are very good! Dog and cat supplies also sold here, my cats love the little toys.

This is the type of store that small towns had before we got malls or Wal Mart.A little bit of everything a household might need after getting your groceries.Delighted to be able to see things that are handy for locals to get. Fishing gear, wellies, sewing thread, cooking items and gardening.I saw wooden harmonicas, the type of ringers you got for your bike back when, marbles and puzzles.Mercantile store is exactly what you get. Owner was helpful but not hovering over you. Well worth the time to look around and savor the memories.

Always go here first before the chain store for hardware and tools and such. Chances are they have what you're looking for. Friendly service. They have fresh eggs and meals from Drift Inn.

Awesome store with anything you could want from hardware, DIY, to kids and pets and kites. We had a great time picking out some beach toys after we forgot to bring ours with us. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Yachats. The gentleman at the counter was super nice too!
