Dealt with Nathaniel Brand. Was referred to this place by state coordinator/program for wheelchair ramps to build for wheelchair bound brother. No one came out to take measurements or assess. We emailed measurements ourself with images. We wanted a ramp setup where the front porch steps would still be accessible. After Nathaniel settled on a wheelchair build that WILL permit use of the front porch steps and would NOT block the porch steps, and few weeks later said it could not be done and settled on 2 portable ramps placed in front of each other to create one long ramp. I expressed my concern about my brother being able to use the porch and he insisted with a smart attitude and being a wise guy that the porch will still be able to be utilized. Come the day of delivery, two 7 foot portables ramps were delivered that will NOT allow access for my brother onto the porch. Another company came out and took pictures, created a blueprint, and gave us schematic on a modular ramp that will be perfect for us although Nathaniel said this could not be done. How would he know if no one came out to take measurements..... Heed my warning and run far away from this place. I've never met a person more dishonest and wise guy. In this case he took the states money and left us with a subpar ramp system that is not gong to be permanent. Will have to go out of pocket for another company to come out and build a proper permanent setup.

In 13 years I've bought 3 chairs never had a problem until this last chair. A day after I got my chair I called to ask Vince about my tires. Over a month later still no call. Also was playing phone tag with Vince and the build of my chair. Thankfully the size was correct because by the time I talked to someone my chair was already done. Really happy that other man was checking on the build of my old chair to make sure this is what I wanted for my new chair. Wish I knew his name he couldn't of been more helpful.

I'm sorry to say that my experience with ABET Medical has been extremely disappointing. As a customer in need of a wheelchair for my mother, I have found that the customer service reps have little to no knowledge, training, or understanding of the health-related needs of many of their wheelchair customers. Over the course of 15 days, I had to call ABET Medical 12 times to try to get my mother's chair serviced. Her chair had no power, and it seemed impossible to get a concrete timeline for when the chair would be serviced. When the serviceman finally came out, he removed the control arm to my mother's electric chair and said he would get her a loaner. However, the customer service representative I spoke with initially could only see that there was a service call on 4/7/23 but could not provide me with any additional information. I called ABET Medical numerous times after that, and each time I spoke with a representative, they seemed to have no information about my mother's chair or the service call. On the 14th day, I was told that I could get a rental if I got a new prescription, so I sent it in right away. However, it took two days to confirm that the prescription was on file. Even worse, the representative I spoke with on the 19th refused to escalate the call to a supervisor or provide me with any helpful information. He simply told me to "allow the technician to search inventory to get a loaner arm control." Overall, my experience with ABET Medical has been incredibly frustrating and unhelpful. The lack of knowledge and training among customer service reps, combined with the slow response time, has made it nearly impossible to get my mother's chair serviced in a timely manner. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I will be looking for other options for my mother's wheelchair needs.

This DME supplier is awful. They will say they will call you back but never do. They will not submit anything I need to my insurance because they don’t make enough money from it and then all the sudden say my insurance won’t approve it and I spoke to my insurance and they will. They just don’t want to use insurance because they want all the money they can get. This place is all about the money. I also had a ceiling lift track installed by them and it fell out of the ceiling with me in it, luckily I wasn’t far from my wheelchair or it could have killed me.

Abet Medical owes us a refund of serious money on a purchase we cancelled on the advice of our UPenn pt staff. UPenn suggested a better a wheelchair and abet denies that we canceled the order. We have records of our phone call to themBe careful when you deal with them or you are kissing your money goodbye.

Abet owes us serious money after we canceled an order on the advice of my upenn PT staff. Now after about a month of talk they cannot understand "cancelled" order. They do not respond to our request for the refund. They are not responded to our attorney Their claim is we never cancelled the order but we have a record of the time of the call. Be careful dealing with abet medical.

This company is the worst - don't know how their in business for over 30 years. They measured my brother for a wheel chair (stroke patient) at a rehab center over three weeks ago and still haven't produced the wheel chair or processed the order. Had to go to another company and will have the chair in a few days. Until I called 3X I thought the order was being processed to find out today it wasn't. Of course, its being blamed on insurance and I was willing to pay out of pocket and they couldn't even give me an amount or delivery date. If there was an issue with insurance it would have been nice to receive a phone call informing me that there was a issue. If your dealing with a handicapped person you can not wait weeks for equipment - apparently Abet not aware of that. Will also pass my review to the rehab facility so they aren't used in the future.

Horrible company!! Ordered a chair for my daughter and after waiting months to receive it, the straps were extremely small. So much for “measuring”. They came and took the straps off to send back and order an extender which is ridiculous since my daughter is only 40 lbs and the chair is supposed to go up to 110 lbs. This chair is currently unusable since it has no straps and I have spoken with 4 people now who only tell me “it’s on order”. No one ever calls me back and 2 1/2 months later, still no straps and still an unusable chair. Save yourself the nightmare and use a different company!!!!!

Made an appointment with me to fix my chair...I changed my work schedule to be home and they had some "misunderstanding". Then asked if tomorrow could work. Very unapologetic and careless about their mistake and the inconvenience they put their clients through. A more appropriate name would be Three Stooges Medical ♂️

Find another vendor!! Very difficult to speak to supportive staff. They'll tell you one thing and not follow through on it. Takes 6 months to process one request. Also communication with staff is extremely poor. I would not recommend this vendor to my adversary.

I know I recently gave a bad review to this company , but I was disappointed but it was really the Doctor that was dragging his feet not abet.. I must say that they are the ones who kept behind the doctor in order to get my new chair. And thank God I did receive my chair and it is (GREAT ) AND I WANT TO THANK THE ABET COMPANY FOR THEIR CONCERNS AND FOR HELPING ME TO GET UP AND OUT WHEN EVER I FEEL LIKE IT !!! AND I'M SORRY ABOUT THE BAD REVIEW I GAVE I REALIZE YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT AND I WANT TO THANK THE ABET PEOPLE EVER SO MUCH !!! FOR MY INDEPENDENCE!!! GOD BLESS....! ...Marlene Richardson !!
