The employees there were so kind to me ,it was a blessing ,I am a disabled one legged Marine Corp vet and they went into their own pockets and to lend me 75 cents and when I tried to pay the money back the two employees refused to take the change I owed them ,please don't reprimand them the change came from their own pockets ,with employees like that ,give them a pat on the back and a well done ,God bless them

Walking into the store through the stench of cigarette smoke because the employee was out front directly infront of the door smoking was disgusting. Then to have the employee come into the store behind you, and not even say hello, was a turn off. They were even up at the front when I checked.... Not even a "Have a nice evening"..."Thanks for shopping at DG!"Some additional training and guidance needs to be provided, if you are in the business of providing goods and services (customer service). And the store had a horrible sour smell, as though the mop or whatever was used to clean the floors was not dried properly or old dirty mop water was used.

One of the cleaner, more organized stores in the area. Always very well stocked and they keep the store looking "fresh" as the displays and seasonal is always up to par. Employees are super helpful as well.

Why is this place always closed during peakHours? It closes at randomTimes during the day and will stay closed for hours. I see customers come and go from across the street after walking toThe door all the time. It's pathetic and a horrible way toRun a business

The only reason my ? is because good prices on the item. Got there don't know what to do. I am trying to ask the worker what to do. All she is saying it's ready, it's ready. No idea where it was, if I scan the item, should show my email, I'd nothing. So I am wrong asking what to do or just because I am Hispanic???

I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of black hair products. Had braiding hair for a $1 in stock as well as scarves and caps for men and women.

Update, no changes. This review is specifically based on how DG run their stores, not reflective of any of the employees. After several visits to the stores in Akron, New Holland, Manheim, Leola and Denver Pennsylvania. DG NEEDS to have more than 1 or 2 employees working at the same time. Usually the same employee is trying to wait on customers and stock the shelves . Due to this, there are many empty shelves and long lines to wait in. I used to prefer to go to DG over other stores but so many items are out of stock and many shelves empty. I can't get down aisles due to large metal carts holding boxes with stock waiting to be put on shelves. I know they have a high employee turnover as it's rare you see the same person more than a few times. I am sure this is due to overwhelming them with too much work at once. DG you really need to have 3 or more employees working on each shift OR at least 2 and hire a 3rd shift stocking crew when you are closed. I am sure I am not the only one who will be taking their business elsewhere if things don't change.Previous reviewI love DG but the majority of them have tons of items in the aisles waiting to be put on shelves. Most if the time, you can't get down the aisles. I don't think this is any fault of the employees as there usually aren't enough of them working to stock and wait on customers. DG's would greatly benefit having a 3rd shift to come in and stock at night.

Loved. It. Especially the dollar stuff. There was a guy there who was so cool. We talked about dogs and friendship. There was this one time we went to the dollar store and got soda and drank it. 5 stars

The store was clean and organized. There were some empty shelves, but there was items stacked in the aisles to be restocked. Two employees with one as cashier and other stocking shelves. The stocker did move to help cashier when the line grew. Very busy store on a Saturday morning.
