I take my animals there because I live close by. They are extremely expensive, and will nickel and dime you. Don't get me wrong, I love my animals, but they are definitely not going to help you save on costs and will charge for things that you didn't ask for. They have both helped and have failed me before with emergency situations. Appointments are not always available on time, especially when you need them the most.

I have taken 2 pets to 5 Points in Aliquippa, and give this veterinary clinic my highest rating. The entire staff is exemplary, from the receptionists, to the techs, to Dr White, who is thorough in her explanations of conditions, patient, and so caring for the animals she provides care for and their owners. There prices are so reasonable, and they add extra touches to create a warm and loving atmosphere.

I have been with Five Points for 10 years. One of my dogs got sick, so I called to make an appointment on Sunday. (It shows Sunday hours) They never called me back. I called again at 8:30 this morning and was told they are booked 3 weeks in advance. How can you not have daily appointments for your patients? But yet when I called a few weeks ago for a simple nail trim, they gave me an appointment the next day. What sense does that make? I went to Center Vet clinic and they were more than happy to help my poor sick dog. I will NEVER go back to VCA again. Where is your loyalty?

I would not take my pet there. My lab blew out his knee at the end of December 2023. I took him there where they put him on Carprofen and told me he was overweight. a blood test should have been done before putting him on such drug. which it was not. I had to take him back on January 12th 2023 to see a vet who specialized in such circumstance. He walked in before even introducing himself told us he was fat and he had to lose 12 pounds. He needed to do extensive surgery so referred us to a vet hospital. January 19th when I came home from work at 10 pm he threw up brownish redish liquid. I took him to the vet emergency hospital. They preformed tests and found he had severe liver damage. I had to lay him to rest the following morning. He wasn't even 6 six years old. He would have celebrated his six birthday March 17th. I was heartbroken and still am. Do not take your animal here. When they were 5 points they were awesome. But since they are part of VCA they have gone way down hill.

Have used them several times and i can say the worst vet I’ve been to. Over charges for everything. Delays appointments

I know things are tough with staffing, but they do try. I had to wait a few days to get some response but at least the staff at the front desk do try to take care of you. I think the doctors need to organize themselves better as they do not respond well to their messages. So thank God for the folks up front that are the glue that holds the place together!

After 17 years, I’ve now switched to another vet due to their weekend appointment policy. I called on Sunday May 29th in the hopes of getting my dog in for an appointment. It wasn’t a true medical emergency but something I did not want to wait until after the holiday to be looked at. I was told even though they were open on Sunday, they only do “wellness” appointments. They told me to go one of the new Pet Well Clinics that have recently opened, all of which were closed until Tuesday or go to Rainbow medical hospital to be seen. I’ve never heard of any kind of medical practice that doesn’t see patients current day if there is a problem. ??♀️ Ever since the practice was taken over by VCA, I feel like we’re just a number. If you can’t handle the patients you have, stop accepting new ones. Wish I could give zero stars.

Took my 7 year old cat in because he was going to his litter box every 2 minutes and only peeing a drop. Coming out scooting on the floor. They took him back did everything they needed to and told me he was fine. That was a week ago. Now yesterday I had to rush him to the vet because he was continously scooting on the floor crying. Emergency vet said he has tons of crystals in his bladder that he could of died. Now my cats having to stay overnight at the vet with a 2500 dollar vet bill because you guys didn't diagnos him correctly the first time. I gave them a 2nd chance after giving me the wrong diagnosis on my dog. But I will not do it again. Why rush through things when you charge 300 dollars just to bring my cat in. Thanks 5 points.

Do you not recommend!! I have a 10-year-old English mastiff who has been an established patient for over 2 years now! He is sick having stomach issues, not eat, lethargic and extended belly…. First they say they don’t see him in the system and they haven’t seen him in over a year which is not true then they call back and say oh he is a patient, Give him this probiotic and if he’s not better in three days take him to the hospital, there are no appointments available sooner than two weeks… this is unacceptable
