I don't normally post reviews, but I was very disappointed with my service. On the 29th of December we lost wifi. We do not have good cell service in the area and we do not have cable, so our only service was out. The first person I spoke to added us to the emergency response list and made us an appointment incase we were not serviced. Our appointment was set for Wed at 9 am to which she said we did not need to be home for. I called again Saturday to see if someone could come since they would be closed Sunday and Monday, but no one could stop by. Tuesday I called twice as I was hopeful and still no one could come. The second time I called on Tuesday I was told that they could not come without us home, so I asked to change my appointment. I was set for 12-5 on Wednesday, the 3rd. Although annoying this was not something I could change. This morning, Wednesday, I got a call at 10 am saying a technician was on the way. This was not what I expected and did not work with our schedule. I had to rush home in order to be there. The technician, Joe, is the reason this review gets two stars. He was delightful and patient as he waited for me to get home about 20 minutes after he arrived. He already had the problem fixed by the time I arrived, which was great, but at the same time, someone could have came earlier in the week since it was a quick fix. I understand that there is contracted times people work, but it was such a quick fix that someone should at least have been sent to check. If it was a more intense problem, I could understand not being able to fix it close to closing hours, but knowing it was a quick fix makes this more frustrating. We went 5 days without service while we had guests in town as well as work that had to be done. More importantly, my boyfriend is an emergency responder and since cell service is spotty at our house, he relies on wifi to get calls and messages. Without wifi this was extremely difficult. Service Electric did not provide good service. We are extremely disappointed and can only hope we get prorated for the days without service.

Convenient location in Allentown near the police station. For high speed Internet, SE is more affordable than RCN.

I initially posted an unfavorable review about Service Electric when we were haveing issues with our interenet service broadband began acting erratic. Customer service in the evening was vauge about resolving the issue. However aftre speaking with Stephaine (office manager) the next morning and dealing with the technician team, Andrew, Tim and others, I have significantly revised my opinion. Stephanie was incredibly helpful, professional and mindful of my work schedule. The technician team came to my residence promptly. They were professional and genuinely concerned about addressing my concerns after they got the system back up and running. They took the time to walk the house with me to make sure all devises were working. Thank you Stephanie and the tech team at Service Electric. I have every confidence that if we have issues in the future, they will be addressed and remedied in a timely manner.Best regards,Ron

How many reviews did SE pay for? There is no way people actual think they are a 4.5star company. Left SE years ago because every single day there was an internet outage. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Recently moved andI had to give up my amazing Verizon connection that never gave us issues in the 4 years we used them. Now stuck with SE again, and sure enough. EVERY SINGLE DAY there is an internet outage. Cannot wait to find another provider to leave this garbage service

terriable customer service.waited 10 minutes when my call was answered my address etc to her and than all of a sudden I was on hold again. Waited another 10 minutes ? nobody came back on line.

I am satisfied with my internet service but recently Im unable to pay online and cant even pay over the phone! It 2023 and I dont have a bill with anyone who I cant pay online or over the phone. This is a major inconvenience especially if my service is interupted.

You know what makes me happy? When I call a company for help, and a real live person answers the phone!I called today to remove my Wi-Fi and to do a wired only hook up. I had a great girl (Kirsten) help me and answer my questions. I proceeded with her instructions to make the change and low and behold, I did it!After that, I ordered a long, long Ethernet cable online so I could put the computer where I wanted; plus, a connector/adapter from a “C” cable to an Ethernet for my laptop. That was also part of the representative’s recommendation. How about that, folks?!Great job SECTV!

Worst customer service, they want everything as per their convenience and not as per the customers. Very rude and not ready to listen to the customer at all.
