In December of 2022, I paid approximately 700 for a Senior membership with the understanding that I would not start until January 2023. I also paid 80 per week for a personal trainer for 6 months. I exercised and trained 5 days per week even though I had arthritis. I stopped going to training, my classes and the weight room in June when my pain became worse.\nSometime in August I returned to training one day per week. I had a few sessions left so I continued to train even though I was in pain, because I trusted my trainer.\nApparently, in August I was told that I didn’t cancel my training sessions in time. I had to pay another 320 for four more sessions. My therapist left for a new position and I was told she could not train me. I was in too much pain to start with someone new. I wasn’t exercising in a group or alone because of my pain. All I wanted was my 320 returned. After all, it was an extra 4 weeks that I was forced to pay.\nLast month I was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. Some of the complications are dizziness, poor balance and falls. I wanted to explain to the manager, and ask if I could have an extension for when my physician said I could exercise again.\nI hadn’t been using any of the facilities for 7 months. I called three times asking to talk to the manager. I’ve been getting the run around, saying he would call me.\nSo here I am, very sick, paying an extra 320 for no trainer, losing more than half of a year’s contract which would be another 350.\nI would ask for my money to be returned because I’m not a wealthy retiree. I am an almost 79 year old woman who trained beautifully for 6 months, and enjoyed it. I didn’t ask for poor health and personally I can’t wait until I could use the gym again. However, I am unable to walk or even stand correctly until my disease goes into remission.\nCompassion is not a trait that employees at Steel Fitness possess.

I own and operate a small TKD studio. I was approached by this highly unprofessional establishment to donate a prize for their raffle. Even though I was unable to attend and benefit myself I still donated 1 year of free lessons. Since the drawing I have inquired 10 seperate times to be informed of winner so can reach out to them. Despite 10 assurances I would be contacted I never was. Unprofessional!

I have been a loyal member of this gym for some time now, but the events of today have left me disheartened. Today, I encountered extremely rude and unprofessional behaviour from a staff. What was even more distressing was that her coworker verbally attacked me, causing unnecessary distress and embarrassment.I came in the gym with my father (a guest) and told the front desk that I’m simply dropping him off. This rude old lady (staff) came running after me, yelling and embarrassing me. I explained what I was doing. She said she had to register him. I said ok and went with her with my child. She started typing something on her computer. I told her I had to run for my child’s activity. She started showing me attitude and said “I WILL let you know when I AM done.” I complied. Waited for 30 mins. She purposely kept me waiting by the front desk for 30 mins with my child, she refused to answer what was taking so long. After 30 mins she said “you have to sit with ur guest. Waiting for him” when I specifically told her I had to leave for my child’s activity and that I was in rush. When I confronted her, this young and immature staff started verbally attacking me. Putting her nose where it doesn’t belong. No self respect. When I sought to address the issue with the manager, my concerns were not met with the understanding or resolution I had hoped for. The manager's refusal to apologize and protect his employees, despite the obvious misconduct, was deeply disappointing.I must admit that this is not the first time I have faced discrimination and unfair treatment within the gym. It's disheartening to observe the stark contrast in the treatment I, and some of my friends who share my nationality, receive when compared to other American customers. The consistent issues we face, especially from one particular staff member, are unacceptable. As a member, I expected to enjoy a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere at the gym. Unfortunately, recent events have made me question whether this is truly the case.I am not the type of person who leaves reviews but if anyone else faced this type of treatment from these people. Sorry to hear that. Some people need to be a DECENT HUMAN BEINGS. I was asked to apologized to the staff by the manager. If I was the problem in this situation then I would happily apologize. They kept labelling me as rude and gaslighting me. Unbelievable. Caused a scene in front of my 5 year old.

I am writing to bring to your attention a deeply troubling and unacceptable experience that I had at your gym today. It is with great disappointment that I report an incident involving discrimination, unprofessionalism, and poor customer service by one of your staff members named Bard.As an interested individual seeking a suitable gym, I came across the advertisement for Steel Fitness Premier offering a free day pass. Excited about the opportunity, I decided to visit your gym today. However, the events that unfolded during our visit were highly distressing.I met a senior lady outside and we came in together. Upon arriving at the front desk and expressing our desire to use the day pass, Bard handled the situation in a discriminatory manner. While he thoroughly checked my identification and requested additional personal information, he completely disregarded the senior lady and did not ask for her identification or any details. This differential treatment was apparent and raises serious concerns about racial discrimination.Furthermore, when my friend, who also had signed up for the day pass, arrived at the gym, he was informed by Bard that he would have to pay $20 to access the facilities. This contradicted the initial understanding that the day pass was free. Bard explained that he could not contact the salesperson who issued my and the lady's day passes mins ago and insisted that my friend pay the fee. This sudden change in policy, lack of communication, and refusal to honor the initial agreement are highly unprofessional and indicate a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.Additionally, when I attempted to gather information about membership fees and facilities from Bard, he claimed to be unable to provide any details, stating that he was merely a front desk attendant. While I understand that certain limitations may exist regarding his knowledge, his dismissive attitude and inability to offer even basic information were disheartening.Considering the events that transpired, it is evident that I was treated unfairly and experienced racial discrimination during my visit to Steel Fitness Premier. Bard's differential treatment, refusal to honor the day pass agreement, and unhelpful demeanor not only reflect poorly on your establishment but also highlight systemic issues within your organization.I strongly urge you to conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and take appropriate action against Bard for his discriminatory behavior and unprofessional conduct. Additionally, I expect a formal apology addressing the discrimination and inconvenience I experienced during my visit. As a customer, I believe in the importance of fair treatment, inclusivity, and a welcoming environment within any establishment. It is disheartening to encounter such behavior at Steel Fitness Premier, a place that should promote a sense of community and respect for all individuals.

The front desk's attitude is terrible, and they are extremely impatient with customer inquiries. of course, discrimination is the main reason for the low grade.

I love steel fitness! The variety of equipment and that they have a pool is unique. Also, a big plus is that everything is super clean. They have big fans that run and they keep the temperature comfortable for working out.
