Straight forward guys! Took my car for inspection and emissions- got warned my exhausted was fairly rusted out and had little life left- but still passable for inspection. A week later my exhaust quite literally snapped in half due to the rust. I had my car towed there on a Monday and they had the parts ready, installed it, and was ready to go Tuesday afternoon. With parts and labor it was just under $1500. Truly great guys.

Car Inspection. Fortunately the Car passed. I have faith in Mike or Williams the Mechanics to keep me informed on any safety issues. There were some recommendations regarding filters. I know how to replace them and deferred the work to myself. I am satisfied with there quality of work!!

Had my truck inspected there recently. I knew my tires and breaks were near the end of their lifespan. They let me know I was still within inspection tolerances but near the end of their usable lifespan. No shady tactics to try and upsell me on work. I decided to have my breaks done. Price was reasonable and the work was done quickly. This was my first time there. I will definitely go back for more work as I need it. A good mechanic you can trust is not always easy to find.

The mechanic I communicate d was very responsive and open in his communications about my car. They successfully fixed a brake mistake made by a large commercial mechanic. So far I am pleased with this shop’s work.

First time here, and I must say—it was NOT a pleasant experience.
I came to have my AC checked/recharged based on a third-party recommendation and positive online reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was completely different from what their website and Google reviews suggested.
I made an appointment for 9:00 AM and arrived at 8:45 AM. After struggling to find the front office, I went into the garage and met a staff member who confirmed my appointment. He then told me I hadn’t authorized their estimate via email or text. I explained I had confirmed the appointment by text, but you wouldn’t expect someone to authorize a $264 estimate based solely on symptoms and a “diagnosis” on paper—without even looking at the car, right?
Still, I decided to give them a chance and authorized the work, even though no further questions were asked to understand the issue. I had planned to wait for my car, thinking an AC recharge wouldn’t take long. When I asked how long it would take, he said, “We will get it done before the end of the day.” I asked again for a more specific time (e.g., “2–3 hours” or “by 1:00 PM”), but the answer was still “before the end of the day.”
Here’s the “funny” part: when I asked where I could wait, he said, “You can call an Uber or have a friend pick you up,” because they had nowhere for customers to sit. No waiting area, no proper time estimate, and no notice anywhere stating they were a drop-off-only shop. I ended up walking around for three hours waiting for my car. For a place that claims to “care about customers” and “be professional,” this was shocking. What if I just need an oil change? I am not going to call Uber and come back later for an oil change.
When I came back at 12:00 PM, things got worse. I arrived early and saw the mechanic opening my glove box. I had locked it and never gave him the key—meaning he forced it open, breaking the lock. When I confronted him, he claimed he “just pressed the button.” He was holding a screwdriver trying to fix it but still refused to admit he forced it open. Why would you even need to open the glove box for an AC recharge? And if you must, wouldn’t you inform the customer—especially when they are right there?
After that incident, I asked if my AC was good to go. His response? “Did you pay?” When I pressed again, he finally said I had a leak. If that was the case, why didn’t you tell me earlier when I asked?
For the record, my request was: “My AC only blows warm air. I may need an AC recharge. Could you give me an estimate?” I expected them to figure out the real issue, not just do the work and hand me a bill. Would you like to know what you are paying for and why?
Too many red flags: lack of professionalism, dishonesty, no respect for customers’ time or property, and zero accountability. If you must deal with this shop, double-check every detail before approving any work or payment. Personally, I’d recommend going elsewhere—there are far better shops in Allison Park, PA. For over $230, you can get much better service anywhere else.

Having a July inspection sticker on our 2017 Subaru Legacy means I had to schedule 2025’s PA inspection so I called for today’s appointment just a few days ago at H&L
1 W Bard Dr, Allison Park across Rt8 from Home Depot. We dropped it off at 8AM and I got a call about noon that it passed but a couple air filters were “passable” yet the car’s performance & passengers’ air quality would benefit from replacing them. I authorized their replacement and about an hour later I picked up the car, appreciating the suggestion. Little things like this give me confidence that Mike & Will thoroughly check out all the items that can affect performance & passenger comfort/safety!
We’re very satisfied customers!

Wife has a 2017 GNC Terrain. Vehicle was here and they were to replace the engine (side note she had car shield but the garage refused to use the motor car shield because they wanted to get one of their choosing so they could guarantee their work.) Received the vehicle with engine #2 and it was no good so they had to take back because the work was “guaranteed” Received the vehicle back with third engine only to get it back with horrible horrible knocks. Explained it to them and they tried saying it was injector tick. Explained to me how all three motors had the same injectors but mysteriously all of the sudden the injectors make noise? And explain how it’s a metal on metal sound? They knew they were already loosing money so refused to acknowledge it needed yet another replacement. Oh and Also I was hung up on while talking to the owner. Vehicle is now at another shop, I can’t wait to hear what’s found so I can move forward in having this made right. Absolute Crooks!!!

Mike Hilliard is an excellent, honest and professional mechanic. Communication is key and this garage utilizes an excellent online system reporting the findings of the mechanic and the price estimate, making it extraordinarily easy to review needed repairs and approve them, eliminating a lot of phone time on both ends. I feel very comfortable giving them a 5 star review and recommending this garage to friends and family.
