Wonderful cut & styling, but I would much prefer having an appointment instead of checking for wait periods. I get a rather stylized cut, which I've found many stylists fall short in creating. I finally got a stylist at Great Clips who knows the cut, but I am disallowed to request her. ?

The lady who cut my boyfriends hair is not friendly at all! Rude and Racist!! And she even raised her voice at him! Worst attitude ever. Location is in Altoona near Walmart.

The young lady with the beautiful flame orange hair knew exactly what I wanted without me having to go into detail. Her and her co worker kept me laughing throughout the hair cut.

I was in last month 3/2024 to get a haircut and they took way more off then what they said. Plus, lately they’ve been cutting your hair the way they want to cut it instead of the way the customer wants it. I would give this place zero stars if I could. I’m never going back. High disappointed with this place!!

I'm really disappointed with the service I received. To start, my stylist poorly mispronounced my name twice despite me having a very basic and simple name. Then, I had to explain 4 or 5 times how I wanted my hair cut before she started cutting it (I wanted shaved sides and back with long hair on top). Despite my explanation, she initially cut it a different way that did not fit the description I gave her.
After she finished her attempt, I had to yet again explain how I wanted it (primary issue being I wanted more shaved off than she actually shaved off). After the shaving, she showed how I had one small piece in my long section that wasn't layered currently and was about an inch longer than the rest. She asked if I wanted it cut off and evened out, and I said yes. Instead of just cutting that inch, she proceeds to cut 2-3 inches off an entire chunk/section of my hair that didn't need cut. I didn't get to see this until after because the part was more to the back of my head.
While my hair is somewhat what I wanted, it is much shorter than what I initially wanted. I did not appreciate how rough she was with my head either. I am autistic and had to experience a session of very rough combing and yanking my head around roughly. If you go to the location, do not let the older red head style you unless you like rough treatment and want her random and unwanted "adjustments". I will be seeking elsewhere to get my hair cut in the future.

Overall great experience. Price is competitive and they are friendly. The app scheduler is very convenient too. June is the bees knees too.

My boyfriend and I got our hair cut at the Altoona location 2-21-24. We were there an hour and 15 mins before close as walk-ins. We both got the same woman. Skinny Older lady with dark, short, pixie like hairstyle. She cut double what she showed me and left my hair way shorter than what I wanted. It’ll take YEARS to get my length back. She was rushing and finished both of us in 15 minutes. Attached picture is what she did to my boyfriend. Not even at all, not blended, it looks awful. She was not nice and obviously was mad we were there to begin with. Never in my life have I cried after a haircut, until visiting Great Clips. Will never be back. Do better and choose better employees.
