Robbed us blind. We traded in our phones and they said it would be free then said it would be a charge and now the mother ship at Verizon says they never received my Pixel 7 (I traded slightly up for a Pixel 7 Pro) as well as my sister's phone. Verizon expects us to pay $350+ a month and claims we never turned either phone in to them. I handed mine in at the store, at this very location. What a horrible way to conduct business. Modern con artists in the streets of Altoona. Actually, had my mother on the verge of tears as she was asked to call the mother ship by the store and then they gaslit her as well saying we never turned our phones over to them and then was asked to call the store in never ending back and forth.

Terrible experience at the 220 west plank road Altoona pa, 16602. Apparently this location is known as “Victra” not so much Verizon. My husband went there to upgrade his phone, was told he would owe around $200-250 for the new phone. My husband then asked if he would be able to transfer all his information and not loose anything. Rowan the sales associate responded by saying “absolutely, we are actually one of the only locations that offers that as I courtesy service for you so You’ll be able to make sure all of your information transferred before turning your phone in before you leave”. I’ve never had the store transfer my information before, I’ve just always done it myself but since he said it was a “courtesy” I thought, “why not”. Rowan then asked if we would like any accessories. I responded by saying no that’s okay we will just look at Walmart and amazon. He insisted on getting them all out anyway and saying that he would price match anything we find. So we pick a phone case in which we found $15 cheaper on Amazon. While the transfer was happening he asked if we would like screen protectors. I said I’ll look on Amazon and he again laughed and said “I’ll price match it” when we were finishing up, I went to the car and my husband paid the bill. The bill that was supposed to come to roughly $250 was $450!!! I walked back in to ask why it was so much more and Rowan was now helping another customer so we took the receipt to look at it in the car. We were charged $39.99 for that “COURTESY” transfer which they call a set up and go service. And the only accessory that was price matched was the phone case. We got charged $64.99 for the screen protector!!!!! Which is $19.99 and $29.99 for the camera protector which can be bought for $16! I’ve called to speak to them and when transferred to Rowan he told me that “I’ve had a long day and I’m ready to clock out. You waited till the end of the day to call so you’re bo longer my problem”. I was then given the store manager “Ken” number and I’ve left him multiple voicemails trying to resolve this and he has not returned ANY of my calls.Don’t waste your time going to these “Victra” locations. You will be price gauged. Either switch to AT&T or find an actual Verizon store.

Ken, the new manager, was absolutely amazing. I’m older and he took the extra time to help me with getting an upgrade, transferring my stuff, and answered every question I had. The store was busy and he did a great job handling everyone and setting expectations. If you want to feel “like family” and be taken care of by genuine people, go to this store! Thank you Ken for making my visit a great one!

Rowan was so helpful. He took the time to explain everything. He even spent 20 minutes trying to figure out an app on my husbands phone. Best customer service I’ve ever had. He even stayed almost an hour and a half past the time he was to get off work to finish helping me.

Ken was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. My last phone was an iPhone 7 and it was still working great. However the change to 5G meant I had to get a new phone. Ken made the experience pleasant considering he knew it wasn’t something I wanted to spend money on.I will definitely go back to the store for my next purchase.
