I cannot recommend Ataraxis highly enough. I’m 44 years old and new to jujitsu. I was a bit intimated when I first started having never done jujitsu before. The nerves quickly dissipated as the coaches and members made me feel extremely welcome. The owners Randy and Laura have built a phenomenal community of people. I now try to attend class everyday not only for the great coaching but to interact with the people who I have met. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.

This place is by far the best kept secret in the area! Both of my kids trained with Randy and Laura, and they did such an absolutely incredible job coaching them that I had to sign up myself! I have been training for 5 months, lost 20 lbs without even trying, and have learned so much about self defense and competitive BJJ. On top of all that, I’m forming some unique, awesome friendships.Try it out, test your limits, get healthy, and learn the art of folding clothes while people are still in them!

Our elementary aged kids have been attending Ataraxis for a couple of years, and I am regularly singing this school's praises to other parents! The instructors are fabulous, and our kids have come such a long way in gaining both confidence and grit, not to mention learning how to truly defend themselves. I love that only students who work hard get promoted, it's not automatic. One of my kids learned that lesson the hard way, and grew from it. The instructors do a fantastic job of balancing being supportive with enforcing clear expectations. It's also a great place for neurodiverse kids to thrive!I'd give them 10 stars if I could!

My kids started coming here because of bullying and social anxiety. The bullying is gone, and my teen is so much more confident in herself. I was so amazed at their transformation, at 52, I started practicing BJJ!Owner/coaches Randy and Laura are amazing. They have built this wonderful supportive, clean, environment that is called Ataraxis! This is not a McDojo, it's a family! No Egos. No Attitudes. Just a wonderful cross section of society supporting one another.

The culture that the head instructors have created here is amazing. The people, training partners are why I love this place. On top of all that I get a great workout in and top notch practical bjj/self defense instruction.

Ataraxis ju jitsu is the best! Randy and Laura create a family-like atmosphere where you're warmly welcomed and supported from day one. Their expertise, commitment to growth, and overall sense of community is top-notch. If you're looking for a ju jitsu gym with incredible coaches and a true family atmosphere, this is where it's at!

Phenomenal atmosphere with a great group of guys. The instructor is fantastic with a massive amount of knowledge while being extremely technical. Overall, fantastic place to learn martial arts. Stop reading reviews and go in!

My son has been going to Ataraxis for over a year, and my daughter joined not too long after. A great place for them to learn, work hard, and be a part of a wonderful community. Owners Coach Randy and Coach Laura, as well as the rest of the instructors are great. I couldn't ask for better people to teach my children self-defense and safety.

I was in PA this weekend for the holiday and attended a BJJ class at Ataraxis led by Coach Randy. Great instruction. Comfortable atmosphere. Great rolls with talented practitioners.

We did a lot of research choosing both what type of martial art would be best suited for our kids, as well as on the gyms that offered Jiu-jitsu. We landed on Ataraxis, and couldn't be more pleased. My tentative daughter has learned to be brave and assert herself, and my active son has learned to focus his energy. Both are learning grit and determination in ways they wouldn't otherwise. Ataraxis makes you feel like family, and teachers you lifelong skills. 10 stars!

Awesome place to train, the coaching staff is fantastic wether learning self-defense or looking for a fun new sport to participate in. Head coach Randy, coach Laura and their coaching staff have built a really positive environment to learn and grow. Not a day goes by that I don't leave with a new nugget of knowledge or had a good chuckle.I came for the jujitsu but stayed for the quality of the people I get train and learn from.

I love dropping into this gym on a Friday night when I close at work and can't make it to my home gym in a timely fashion. The head instructor, Randy, is extremely knowledgeable and I thoroughly enjoy how informal (in a good way) he structures his classes. I would highly recommend training here for anyone living in or close to Ambler!

Incredible coaches and members make Ataraxis Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a great place to train BJJ. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner, the training environment and wealth of knowledge from the coaches will take your game to the next level. They offer amazing kids classes that teaches them self defense and instills strong self confidence. Walking in to Ataraxis to start jiu jitsu was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself.
