Susan is a phenomenal canine physical therapist because her manual skills are exceptional. Yes, she uses typical modalities such as cold laser and shockwave, but her therapeutic hands-on skills enable her to feel issues with muscles, tendons and spine beyond just finding trigger points. The canine community, whether sports or family oriented, is so fortunate to have her.

As a local veterinarian, I have been referring patients to Fit For A Dog for many years! FFD completely separated from the "doggy day care" several years ago so pay no attention to those types of comments. Susan is an amazing physical therapist and diagnostician, and provides great services, including underwater treadmill, shockwave and laser treatments, manual manipulation, and teaching exercises for owners to do at home. FFD even has an in-house rehab/sports medicine veterinarian for more advanced procedures like stem cell and PRP injections. I recommend them highly for any dog who needs assistance getting back to full function, whether post-op or post-injury, conditioning for sports, or general strength training.

We brought our dog in for post-op care after a leg surgery and Fit For A Dog worked wonders for him. After only a few visits, he is completely back to normal. Susan is professional, caring, and knowledgeable about what she does - could not recommend her business more! Thanks!

Susan has been wonderful with my elbow dysplasia dog. My dog looks forward to his appointments at Fit For a Dog and he enjoys the underwater treadmill workouts. I can tell how much Susan loves dogs and how passionate she is about helping them get better. She is very skilled and knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to bring my dog here and will keep them in mind for my other dogs in the future if needed!

My senior rottie girl went to see Susan for severe bicep tendon inflammation, hopping on one leg. After her first shockwave treatment we already see such improvement! Susan explained everything and was so gentle with my sweet girl! Highly recommended Fit For A Dog!

My pup had damage to his hip flexors and surrounding areas. Susan took excellent care of him. He relaxed with her - even being in such pain - and at the end of each session he was noticeably feeling better. She is very knowledgeable, and very good and patient with the clients.

A nice combo of a very professional, caring and loving space, and expert rehab, massage and physio-therapists that bring top notch skills to your loved one. Our dog loves it, and loves his PT!

I believe it's all about the therapist. Susan is very knowledgeable, not just with anatomy, but also with my dog's temperament, behavior, and reaction to therapy. We have had nothing but positive experiences there!

The owners and staff genuinely care about the pups in their care. I know, they saved my dog's life three years ago, and I am eternally grateful.

Our 18-month old lab mix had never been socialized with other dogs, only people. We were so excited when Fit For a Dog called to say that Piper could come in for a trial morning session to see how she got along with the other dogs. I was certain that she would fail. She didn't. She goes twice a week now and loves it. Prior to going to FFAD she would not get in the car without trying to run away or back out of her harness. Now, we tell her that she is going to see her friends and she gets right into the car. I am amazed. FFAD takes great care of her, is clean and well-staffed!!

Susan is fantastic with our dogs, very knowledgeable about their health and well being, and has taken care of my German Shepard and my Border Collie for the past 5+ years. Our border collie has really bad back issues and Susan's treatments are quickly able to zero in on the problem and relieve him of his pain. She's also close with our veterinarian and consults with him on various treatments and medications. A great healer and someone I trust with the well being of our dogs.

I took my dog here for the required observation day. I live right up the street so it would have been so convenient to find a quality and friendly place for occasional daycare and boarding. I had to pay for the observation, and when I came back after the half day, they told me they would not accept her without a lot of reason why. My dog plays all the time with others at the dog park, is sweet in nature, and happy. She’s very active and likes to play. She is a larger dog and my suspicion is they prefer the small dogs that require less work. They appear to put the large and small dogs together. When I got there, my dog was in a cage in the same room where the smaller dogs where sleeping freely and lounging around, they likely don’t want to play with a large active pup! I should have argued the fee since they didn’t really try to accommodate my dog, but I just wanted to get out of there since I had wasted my day. I noticed the staff had little emotion or excitement toward the animals or me. Seems like just a job and looking small, sleepy, older dogs. If you have an active, larger dog this is not the place to be.
