Lady with glasses is super grumpy all the time! She got mad when aunt asked if she HAD to give her full name for the receipt and said "its JUST a receipt.." Despite that, my family spent 100 dollars (on just 4 items), she must have have been feeling tired of doing her job because when my mom asked her to wrap a SINGLE stuffie she said "actually would cost a please and thank you" in a very condescending tone before sighing, rolling her eyes, and continuing to wrap it. Since she was so pissed about it mom told her to stop wrapping. The woman must have been afraid of a return because after saying "NOPE!" to my mother (who had been perfectly pleasant) she went "Welp! You can unwrap it then after!" In the most obnoxious condesending tone. Apparently this woman has taken it upon herself to teach my GROWN mother a lesson for something she didnt even do wrong. Keep in mind at this point the woman had not even started wrapping. We returned every overcharged toy. I feel horrible for the poor girl who works there, she is pleasant, helpful, and super kind. It is arguably easier to be nice to customers! For anyone who needs to know, all their stuffed animals are called "Jellycats" look it up on google! I guarantee you will find what you're looking for + more options.

I came in today to pucci manulli to look for a birthday gift and after driving around a bit to find parking, I walked to the door to see it was locked and I needed to ring the doorbell. I figured the doorbell was still there because of a previous Covid precaution however, when asked, the staff told me it's because they are "short staffed". Upon walking inside, there were 4 employees and two small- groups shopping. Feels like a strange micro management of patrons. I didn't find the employees to be particularly helpful but maybe that's because I wasn't a big fan of the selection which had a whimsical vibe but overpriced. I witnessed another patron come in with children and she was holding a coffee and was accosted by a staff member to either leave with the coffee or the woman needed to hand it over to the employee who would keep it behind the register. Bizarre on many fronts. Seems like they don't want your business.

Today I decided to visit this store to purchase a gift for my friends sons’ first birthday. Upon entry, we noticed the door on the side was locked and we had to use the front doors. We went to the front doors, and that was locked as well. I waited, because we saw people in the store actively shopping. Upon waiting, an employee let us in and greeted us with “Patience is a virtue my friend” and “What does the sign say?”. With such a rude encounter and greeting, we decided to take our business elsewhere.I often try to support small businesses, and avoid larger names such as Target, etc but acts of kindness go a long way. I will not be visiting this store again and would recommend they revisit their policies on entrances and customer satisfaction.Edit: Thank you for the reply,“deliberately trying to disparage a small business simply because you didn't like/understand the way you were greeted. Thanks again for your review Dylan”.Across reviews, it seems I am not the only one that has had this issue. It is quite bold to state I am disparaging a small business because of how I am greeted. Businesses small or large rely heavily on great customer service, and not being rude/condescending to customers. Gabriela & I were both excited to visit this shop, and extremely disappointed and felt disrespected. Best of luck!

I would give 0 stars if I could for the customer service I received today. My boyfriend and I wanted to come in to shop for a child's birthday gift. It was about 5:10, and the sign on the front door said they were open until 6. When we tried opening the door, it was locked. We tried opening the second door, which was also locked. It was sunny so we couldn't see inside. Then we noticed a doorbell so we rung ONE time. The lady working (owner?) opened the door and very nastily told us "patience is a virtue" by way of greeting. I was taken aback by the rude comment and asked if they were still open for the day, as the doors were locked and I didn't want to be rude keeping her there if she was closing up. Instead of just saying "yes," she asked me, "did you read the sign? what does the sign say?" referencing the fact that the sign with hours said open until 6. Extremely patronizing and condescending thing to say to two ADULTS! We left immediately and I will never be back - extremely rude to treat your customers like children, especially when we are trying to give you our business in your overpriced toy store.

Absolutely beautiful store with a wide range of toy/gift options for many different age groups. The staff are incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They also do gorgeous gift wrapping and will coordinate shipping for you.

Great for gift shopping. Unique toys, home decor, books, journals, puzzles, games. Dream-like setting. This store will survive in Hamburg, Vienna, maybe even Copenhagen. As a gift shop. If seen narrowly as a toy store, any midsized German city has a wider selection with design and craftsmanship to impress. But within the US east coast context, this store is a true gem.

Should be a delightful experience, but sadly, is a badly managed, and way too precious-about-their-shop, over priced toy store.I have shopped here for years and was recently told I could not enter with my drink (which had a tightly sealed lid on it.) I am an adult. I don't spill sealed drinks on toys. The woman who called herself the owner was rude. I will not be returning, which is unfortunate because my kids enjoy the shop, and I make it a point to purchase items from them whenever we go in (it is important to me to support local business) even though everything they have can be found less expensive in other stores or online.Disappointing for sure.I understand this may be their policy, but over the years, every time we go in it does not feel like a welcoming experience toward children/families at all. Employees hover uncomfortably, quickly fixing anything you touch, the environment (while quite lovely visually) is cold and unfriendly.***Interesting update*** as I stand outside, another young family comes out complaining about the experience they just had in the store. "That was strange." the woman (holding a baby) said with a sour look on her face... They sure don't seem to understand who their customers are.

A beautiful store, marred by at best awkward, at worst rude customer service. It’s a bit of an odd experience getting locked in a toy store, and as others have pointed out, likely a fire code violation. Alas, we have a toddler and it’s an independent business so today we’ll deal with it.There’s a terrific selection of eco conscious and educational toys, beautifully merchandised. And there’s also some prominently displayed toys that.… i guess aren’t meant to be played with?? Our daughter started playing with these Maileg mouse furniture toys (supervised by my partner and I) and immediately a store clerk comes over and warns us of the small parts and how they are easily lost. We acknowledge her and let her know we’re making sure she’s being careful. She had been playing with them gently. It’s a small store. The clerk does not leave us and essentially hovers over us for 5 min before taking the toy out of our daughters hand saying to her: “these toys have really parts, so I’m just going to put this toy back as we don’t want to lose any parts”. Our daughter then started to tear up and we had to hustle over to a different part of the store to calm her down. This is the kind of experience you can expect here. You’re treated like you’re lucky to have the privilege of entering the store and once there, you’ll be monitored, heaven forbid your children have too much fun.

Unfortunately it is beautiful store but they were so rude when I went in. I also had them send gifts that were never received . I was told it’s not their fault. They did me a service shipping them. It’s embarrassing that the gifts are still not located. When I call they said” I can ask all day her name and she would not tell me who I was speaking with”.

I love this store at least as much as my daughter. Maybe more. It’s a toss up!! This store is so carefully curated with thoughtful and beautiful gifts that foster joy, learning, creativity, and empowerment!! It’s a grade A toy and gift store. The gifts are at a higher price point than a box store but that’s due to the high quality of the gifts available which will last beyond their monetary worth. It’s worth a visit even if you’re not in search of gifts as I can guarantee you you’ll find something you didn’t know you wanted or needed for your little one or another little whom you love. It’s like a modern version of Duncan’s Toy Store from Home Alone.

An unique little shop nestled on the corner in Ardmore. There is a very deep array of toys and educational items for every taste. Store personnel are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It is a must visit for finding great items for our grandchildren.

Eclectic gifts and toys for babies, kids, even stuff for adults too! I got my sister a nice gender neutral gift for her new born baby and picked up a Frank Lloyd Wright puzzle for my boyfriend and I. The prices are a little high especially for the onesies but it’s worth it for the quality. Love the vibe here and will continue to go back!

There is not a better toy / gift shop on the main line or really anywhere in the Philadelphia area. Incredible inventory of amazing products!
